Is it murder if you kill your scale???
OK, OK, I know the answer to this dilemna is STAY OFF THE SCALE, but I can't! I would rather see the changes day to day than get a nasty surprise after a week or a month.
I am bouncing. Down a pound a day for 2 days, up a pound a day for three. Down two pounds, up 1, then up another, and another. I'm eating the same stuff and same carb counts nearly every day. ![]() So DH asks, have you lost anymore weight? Answer is no. I just keep bouncing around like the ball in Pong. Not getting anywhere. (His response is to exercise more--not happening). I had a good intial weight loss of around 27 lbs, but every time I approach 30 I bounce back. I'm tracking my food, adding exercise, fat and calories, too. I have no desire to increase carbs, I'm just so frustrated! AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!! |

I am a daily weigh-er, too. I read somewhere (I think it was in one of the Carbohydrate Addict books) where they said to weigh daily. Then weekly, average out your weight for the week. You will loose and gain daily, but if you stay on-plan, your average for the week will be lower.
I actually weigh daily but average monthly. My loss is very slow these days. Even though my weight may be the same on any particular day of this month as the same day last month, they are not always the same and my monthly average weight is lower. I am losing an average of about 2 lbs a month. I consider(hope) this as a sign that my body is getting used to my new weight. Once that happens, I hope I will begin to loose faster. I'm also taking this time to wear out the 2 pair of pants I own in this size. ![]() I would like to buy a smaller size when I need to buy new pants again. |

Try the ****** program. Entering your food will show calories, carbs for the day and they have a weight chart in there to. I found out onions were killing me with carb counts. BYE BYE whole onions!!!!

If you track it daily one of the things you could do is just take todays weight and the previous 2 and average them, each day, it gets you a more balanced read i think. jmo on that though

I hear ya. I do the same thing.
Get out a tape measure and check that! Even though my scale moves very slowly and bounces, I've lost a heap off my hip and waist measure ![]() |

One thing I do is chart my weight every morning and night. At the end of each month I highlight my monthly highest and lowest weight. My goal is that they will be lower than the previous month's highest and lowest weight. If they are, I call the month a success.

Did you ever see the movie Office Space? Take it into a field and take a sledgehammer to that SOB! |
