SteakUms/Sandwich steaks

Anyone have any issues with these? So far so good on this end. I can eat a few with lettuce or just melt some cheese on them and roll up. Quick meal

I seriously can't ever find these - are they in the freezer section, or the butcher area? What am I looking for? TIA

I found an item at my local Save-a-Lot called Sizzlers which are thin hamburger patties sandwiched between two thin layers of ribeye steak. There have a couple ingredients I wish they didn't but for a quick supper they are the bomb.

The wife puts it in a big frying pan with onions, green bell peppers and mushrooms. Fries everything together till the onions and green peppers are cooked. Then on to the plate with cream cheese or American slices. FANTASTIC DINNER.

Ooh, good to know - being me, I probably would have tried the store brand, lol.

The kids said the Wal Mart lasagne was gross, too - sometimes the few bucks saved isn't worth it (although usually it is).

Love them and have them in my freezer right now. I cook them, melt cheese on them and guess what...put them in a wrap! I think I must be the wrap lady.

They make a good substitute for tortillas for enchiladas. Lightly fry them and separate them (they're 2 ply) season with salt, garlic, cumin or chili powder, roll them around shredded mexican cheese and onion (I sometimes put leftover roto chicken in there too), cover with enchilada sauce and cheese. Bake it until it gets nice and melted and serve it with sour cream and black olives.

If they arent in the "freezer" section you might them near the deli/seafood area. Depends on what store. We stock up when they have the BOGO sales.

I like Steak-Um "manicotti."

Fry 'em up. Wrap around ricotta filling. Cover with tomato sauce and shredded mozzarella and bake in the oven.

I love these things but I can't ever find them anymore. Wal-Mart doesn't sell them around here, just their own brand which arn't very good at all.

I've made this several times and it's very nice. I also recommend buying the brand name. We thought the store brand was too!

Cheesesteak Manicotti by Tooter

Made this up on one of those days when the family wanted an old pasta favorite. This is fast, easy and inexpensive.

*8 Steak-Ums/minute steaks
*Ricotta Cheese (15 oz Container)
*1 egg
*2 cups of Shredded Mozzarella cheese
*1/3 cup of Parmesan grated cheese
*1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley flakes
*small pinch of Salt and pepper
*1 Cup of Low carb Pasta Sauce

Preheat oven to 350* Fry up the 8 minute steaks and let them drain on paper Towels (you want them to stay whole in the rectangle shape). In a medium bowl, combine: Ricotta Cheese, egg, Mozzarella Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Parsley flakes and salt and pepper.

Lay one Steak-um flat. Place about 3 heaping tablespoons of the Filling mixture on one side of the Steak-um. Roll it up. Place it in a 8X8X2 Glass baking dish that has been sprayed with PAM. Repeat until all 8 steak-ums are filled and in the baking dish (you will have leftover filling) Pour 1 Cup of Pasta Sauce on top of the casserole.
Cover with Aluminum Foil and bake for about 25 Minutes.

Remove from Oven and let Sit for a few minutes (for the filling to set)

It's now ready to serve. ENJOY

Yum, love steak-ums w/carmalized onions, chopped mushrooms, melted harvarti. I eat it with a fork with a mayo/mustard sauce.
