What is your maximum daily carbs that will keep you in ketosis?

I'm still doing induction (week 3), and thinking about adding a few more carbs next week. How many carbs a day can you personally eat and still maintain ketosis? I know everyone is different, just trying to get an idea.

When I was about where you are, I was eating around 25 carbs. I added Strawberries about three times a week and added in more tomato and onion than induction called for. I have never been out of Ketosis and although I don't count carbs on a daily basis, I am at anywhere from 30 to 40 on any given day.

I stay at 30 or under but I have eaten more and still been in ketosis, for myself how much exercise figures in as well.

I try to stay at 30 but I've had days of 40 and even 50 and didn't seem to get out of ketosis. But my line is very fragile--I believe I do over 50--and I don't use the sticks--just measuring by my appetite.

I try not to go over 50 and when I do get close to that number it's because
I had a apple and a small is 21 carbs .. I use the sticks and have always been in ketosis.... For me the apple helps get things moving ...

Its between 40 and 50 for me, but I try not to do 40 or 50 in one go, I try to space it out so no more than 20-25 in a "meal" or snack.

I started out at 100g of carbs a day, and I was in ketosis then. I didn't exercise, either.

Are you all talking net carbs or total carbs? Just curious. I'm averaging between 45 and 50 g of net carbs a day, probably in the 60 to 70 range for total carbs, and I'm definitely staying in ketosis.

Along the same lines, I have a question:
If you are in ketosis will you definitely lose weight? Is it possible to be in ketosis and NOT lose? I seem to be in a stall, but I'm definitely in ketosis. I'm trying to convince myself that my body is working on it, but it may take a bit longer to show on the scale. I hope I'm right. I had a rapid initial weight loss of 12 lbs, and now nothing for a week.

When I was doing 100/day, it was total carbs. Now I'm closer to 20 net. I just wanted to go simple at the beginning until i got into the more complicated stuff

I have decided it's 10 or less. I think I have not been in ketosis at 20 grams!

I only lose weight when I keep my carbs around induction levels

I go by total carbs, old-style Atkins (1970s version)

I follow original Atkins (no low-carb replacement products...no shakes/bars, etc.) and I stay at induction levels, so under 20 carbs a day to lose weight. I actually can stay in ketosis at higher levels (like 30-40 carbs per day) but I don't lose an ounce that way.

If I go over 40 carbs I actually start gaining. Totally whacked metabolism at this point. But it's OK...the more simple I keep this, the easier it is to follow & stick with it. And no cravings.

It is possible to not see movement on the scale and still be in ketosis. If you stay the course, it will eventually drop. Ketosis means you have switched to fat burning as your main source of fuel and no longer relying on blood glucose.

I do substract the fiber and I agree with Martiangurl that you can be in ketosis and seemingly not be losing. One case in point is during PMS/TOM. It seems to me that ketosis is wiped out and I can gain during the time. But once thing settle, the weight comes back off. Ketosis is complicated so I'm not even going to venture beyond saying what I have said.
