So, just how many carbs are in eggs, anyway?

The egg carton says-1 large egg-less than 1 carb
***********.com has:
1 large fresh egg-0 carbs
1 large scrambled egg-1 carb
3 large scrambled eggs-4 carbs
1 large hard boiled egg-1 carb
3 large hard boiled eggs-2 carbs

******
3 large scrambled eggs-4 carbs
3 large hard boiled eggs-1.7

I just don't get the math here. Does scrambling really add carbs? How?

I suppose if you add milk when you scramble? I don't...i just whisk the heck out of them!
I count 1 egg as .6 carbs.

This is because of USDA packaging laws-.9 g of carbs can be labeled <1 and .4 and under as 0. A large egg has .61 carbs-you can check out nutrition.gov.

That means instead of the 5 carbs I thought I had today, I've only had 2.44. I'll have to enter my egg meals manually into *********** instead of letting it figure the values.

my carbscontrol app counts raw eggs, scrambled eggs, and boiled eggs as having different amounts of carbs... it's so weird. i just punch in all the eggs i eat as raw no matter how i prepare them.

This is the USDA's guide-they make the packaging and food laws.

Hi CC…
Scrambling only adds carbs if you add milk

Here are the USDA figures

Large .36 carb
Medium .32 carbs
Small .27 carbs

So ****** & *********** just assume I add milk to my eggs? And they think 3 eggs x 1 carb = 4 carbs? I've been eating a lot less carbs than I thought I was.

Hi CC…
This is why I use the USDA data base for accuracy, and I measure/weigh things.

Love to whip in some HWC in my scrambled eggs. Makes them really light and fluffy.

I like to put a little cheese in my eggs, either cream cheese or cheddar. But I count the carbs for that, I don't need *********** adding it for me.
