Not sure how to make the picture bigger, but maybe you can see it well enough to make my point. For those who obsess about the scales, take a close look at the chart. For every drop in weight there are several small increases as well. Don't get discouraged by the number on your scales. If you stick with your plan, odds are you will lose. The little stalls and bumps are almost always temporary. Hang in there.

I had already lost about 10 lbs before I started charting so the chart starts at 175 around the first of October 2010 and ends at 140 today.. Lots and lots of little ups and stalls along the way, but the trend was always down.

ETA: If anyone knows how I can make the chart bigger, I would appreciate it. It is a jpeg file.

Is this your weight chart? If so, it's so inspiring. Shows that weight loss is all about flying through the fluctuations. Great Job!

How very true!! I have found the same thing with my weight loss. No straight lines...and often a gain right before a loss!

And I can look at that chart and pick out every time that I failed to follow plan. Especially in the beginning.

Great job!

I'm doing a similar chart where I'm keeping track of my weight each week. I'm so happy to have this to look back on because, like you, I can easily see where my "off" weeks have been and it helps me to stay on track when I want to cheat. Having that little line go down is a big reward to me!

I also was able to see how TOM affects my loss as well.
