How much bacon can you eat at once?

I could easily sit down and eat an entire pack of bacon at once if I let myself. I guess this is why I only buy it occasionally! lol

How much bacon do you usually eat at once?

I'm like you. I could eat the whole package in one sitting.

I like to cut it into 1 inch pieces, fry the whole package and then keep it in the freezer. Good for BLT salads, nibbling, etc. I just have to pace myself and make it last.

well I bought buy one get one free package, it was already a large package so now had 2. I made one whole package because my daughter loves bacon too and dh will eat some. It didn't last 5 minutes, I ate like 5 or 6 strips, and then wanted to open the other package. I could go through a pack a day/easily Every time I go to the store, I get 2, that lasts 1 week on average.....

I love bacon, I can eat it every day and not get tired of it. But, there's no way I could eat a whole package. I have anywhere from 2 to 4 pieces depending on the thickness. I've been getting ultra thick bacon lately--it's so good!

Hi mm…
We buy the thick Hormel, and I eat 4-6 strips when I fry it up.

Sometimes I make it in the oven, but often just in a large fry pan with my bacon press.

I buy the Fletchers Applewood Smoked Bacon at Costco - it's quite thick-sliced - I can eat 6 pieces of that fresh out of the oven. I try not to though!

This post has inspired me to eat some bacon. My wife is late getting back from her trip. We were supposed to go for a salad run. Alas, the clarion call of bacon beckons!

Easily half the pack!

I think a pound of bacon cooks down to only about 4 ounces...so when you compare that amount of meat (yeah, not the sodium or anything) to ham or steak...it's not a massive serving!

I only get bacon about once a month.
I do cook mine in my George Foreman grill, between sheets of parchment paper, which makes it wonderfully crispy, and there's hardly any mess.

I'm one of the weird ones who isn't a big bacon fan, so a single slice is enough for me. Or I just skip it. Except for Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato sandwiches!!! Can't skip the bacon on them, and I love the BLT sandwiches. Tomato season is right around the corner..

I could EASILY eat an entire pack. I mean, it shrivels up to pretty much nothing when it's fried (is it still the same calorie count AFTER it's fried? I mean, there's nothing there!)

But I only eat 4-6 slices.

If it's there, I'm tempted to eat it all and have in the past. It's definitely one of my favorite foods. I have to limit how much I cook, I'll budget the slices per person and just cook that much because if I cook more and there are 10 slices extra, I'll eat them. Mmmm, now I want bacon.

I love bacon but after 4 or 5 slices I start feeling greasy, so its easy to keep portion control
in check.

No, if you enter it into ******, the difference between raw and cooked is significant. If you think about it, you're cooking away half of the fat and sopping up alot of the grease before eating it, it would make sense for it to have less calories, fat, etc.

Same for me, I could sit and eat the entire package, but I stop myself at about 4 slices; ahhhh, the joy of bacon ...

How much can I eat at once? I suspect a couple of packs.

How much do I limit myself to? 4 or 5 pieces.
