yeah. I read the argument against this sort of thing is that some of the ingredients are "excitotoxins" meaning that they cause this almost irresistible urge to keep shoveling them into your mouth. this is totally unrelated to the carb craving thing. I eat nuts, but I don't eat this sort of thing. it's MORE than just the flavor; those things are evil!

Hi Kerry…
Aren't they great?!!

I also love the Habañero BBQ Bold - another awesome flavored one.

They have several new they tossed out this year, and I think they are wonderful.

Portion control is no issue for me, and in know how to weigh and measure and put the jar away. Not going to live my life avoiding stuff - just had to learn that there will be more tomorrow or next day.

I love the salt n vinegar ones! I discovered them a couple weeks ago and remind me of Salt n Vinegar chips which I haven't had in over a year and a half. I was in heaven.

Hi Kerry…
I'm thankful for the very tasty and allowable treats like these!

Next time Sam's Club gets them in, (they are seasonal) I'm buying 4-6 of the large containers and freezing them. We do that with many 'tasty' but seasonal gift foods.

blue diamond doesn't seem to like Canadians...we don't get too many flavours

i have however, tried the habanero....amazing best almond i've ever had, hands down! we also buy the smokehouse flavoured individual packs from costco. they're excellent for portion control & dh takes one to work every day. they're a little expensive ($10 for 18) but well worth it to us! we just buy several boxes at a time when they go on sale!

I love the soy sauce and wasabi flavor. The habanero flavor tastes just like BBQ chips to me...too dangerous.

Yes, I have those in my desk as my afternoon pick me up. Yes, the honey dijon is perfect for my little snack. Now the question is do I take them home this weekend or leave them to have something to look forward to when I come back to work Monday. hum, decisions decisions.

Haven't seen those but the wasabi and soy, habanero bbq and salt 'n vinegar are so good... too good... I have issues with portion control so I count out 20 and put the can away.... usually only have almonds after my workouts.... I could easily eat the entire 6 ounce can for lunch.... issues lol

Yes walmart carries them... counts vary according to flavor.... if you eat one serving which is one ounce (about 20 or so nuts) you have a net carb count of 3-4.... be careful though, hard to stop eating them sometimes

We buy the huge jars and weigh out serving sizes into those snack size ziploc bags... saves alot of money!

we don't get huge jars here either...at least not that i've seen. just the small ones and those go for $5-$6

the costco ones are still the best deal! i usually buy them when they're on sale for $6.99 and buy a ton of them!

i do as you suggest for other nuts like peanuts, pistachios etc...but not our special blue diamonds

the best part with the salt and vinegar and wasabi is that when you eat too many your tongue pays the price!! LOL Those sores and blisters will help remind you of portion control the next time around!

I love nuts but stick to the raw ones - almonds & pecans. I can be happy with a handful of those but if I bought the flavored ones, or even just salted ones, there would be no stopping till the jar was empty.

I never met an almond I didn't like. I have three cans stashed in my desk. Habanero, Wasabi and Blazin Buffalo Wings. There also a couple of packe of Emerald Cocoa Roast that I haven't tried yet, but I bet one pack doesn't survive the day.

I'm not sure I saw the honey dijon ones. If I did I might not even checked them thinking they had honey in them.

I do love the salt & vinegar ones though. Almost like the Lime 'n Chili as much. I like the Wasabi Soy ones, but not as much.

This morning I noticed single serving packs of Planter's flavored almonds but was very sad to see they had really high carb counts I believe because they used sugar. I didn't have my glasses on, but I'm pretty sure I saw a big number and sugar listed.

My raw almonds are such:

carb 6g
fiber 4g
sugar 1g

So I take from this that they do add sugar to the almonds. I tend to agree with Larry when it comes to food; though: if it doesn't make you too hungry, or set you back weight-wise I think its probably ok to eat.
