I can tell you that I love to eat garlic and I am nice enough to tell others when I exercise that I have eaten some, so please keep your distance.

And the cabbage family makes you smell? Meat makes you smell? Why does it seem like that list (2nd page) has all low carb foods on it? Do I care? NO, I will just watch what I eat if I am doing a close up.

Even a food that doesn't itself have a strong odor can change the way you smell, particularly if you eat enough of it. In one study, a panel of female sniffers was asked to compare the sweat of people who had pigged out on meat for two weeks to the sweat of non-meat eaters. The panel's conclusion: The meat eaters had a more intense and less attractive odor than the non-meat eaters.
Smells like vegan propaganda to me.

I don't know about sweat per se, but when I eat very low carb my urine smells so strong that I am embarrassed for anyone to be near when I use a restroom.
DH swears he smells bad and feels greasy when he eats meat too many meals in a row.

Larry, you are a brave man to eat those. Very brave. I hope you have a glass of milk handy. I love hot but Habeñero peppers are "death wish" Hot.

Limburger???????

Oh my gosh that has to be the nastiest stuff that has ever been put on God's green earth!

For those of you who have never tasted limburger cheese but would like to try it, here is a recipe that I have formulated:

Take some sort of nice tasting cheese such as Cheddar, Gouda or Monterey Jack........

Leave it out in the sun on a 100 degree day and then, at sundown, immediately move it to a much cooler place such as the interior of your garbage disposal......

Leave the cheese in the garbage disposal for a few days and then retrieve and place it into a partially full diaper pail for approximately 3 or 4 weeks.

Once the above steps have been followed this should produce something along the lines of a very mild example of Limburger cheese.

Honestly guys this is the most vile thing I have ever smelled in my life.

Hi Eve…
I do cook with habeñeros but I don't really eat Limburger - but my grandfather did…every time we went fishing!

Grandma bought it for him, and gave him strict instructions that none was to be opened anywhere but out of doors, and none was to come home with him. It doesn't seem quite so bad when you are in the great-out-of-doors (though I'm sure all the skunks in the area were on alert).

The strongest I go with cheeses is Bleu Cheese.

Hi Likesspace…
Yeah - pretty good description…and the ''nasty'' part works.

It's best to be out of doors and upwind when someone is eating it (or just opening it).

For me, when I am in deep ketosis I really smell bad! Not just my breath, but general BO. I hate this! And if you add garlic or really spicy foods in the mix.... Let's just say that I feel sorry for my colleagues at times, LOL!

I do find that industrial strength deodorant/antiperspirant helps, but I am doing this natural products experiment so that one is out the window for me. I use chrystal deodorant, and when I get really smelly, I use coconut oil or grapefruit seed extract to kill off the bacteria that cause the smells in the first place, which seems to help.

Drinking plenty of water always works as well to dilute the smell...

The strange thing is, is that with the ketosis smell, other people cannot really smell it like I smell it. I've asked friends and family to tell me and they always say that I don't smell when I think I do...

Garlic however, EVERYBODY smells. LOL!

I never sweat or stink

I really love garlic, but cannot stand the smell chopping it leaves on my fingers. I can't reallys smell it on myself in my sweat, but omg, my husband oozes that stuff out of his pores for days. Blech!

Last week I had Diablo shrimp extra hot it was fabulous! It made my face red and made me sweat, I want to go have it again and again it was so good. My hubby eats raw garlic every day he never smells. I would say grains would cause me the most problem.

Hi Danny…
I'm adventurous but on Limburger - I'm quite happy to take your word on it, and pass the recommendation on to any who would ask.

I may be strange (well, not just for this reason....but I digress..) since I have been LC my sweat when working out smells sweet. I figure it is all the donuts in my fat cells being burned up.

Limburger!! Smells horrific, but actually tastes creamy and good. Not that I tried it more than once and it was in the outdoors, with beer
