Strange Symptom.. Detox?

Last year I did a raw juice cleanse for a month. It was a pretty intense detox and one of the things that happened to me was a deep ache high up on my arms.. toward the back of my upper arms (not really UNDER my arms though).

It's was painful and I could feel swollen knots. I am pretty sure these are lymph nodes. My DH would massage my the area for me every night and it eventually got much better.

Well it's BACK. It's both arms again. I have no fever or anything just pain deep in this area and I can feel the knots again.

I wonder about detox on low carb. I know I am burning fat and we store toxins and such in our fat cells but this is the first them I have had this on LC.

Has anyone noticed anything that seems to really be a detox symptom after they are well along on their program?

I had pains just like that last week in my upper arms. My friend joked with me that it was the heart attack from all the fat I was eating. But seriously, I was wondering what that feeling was. I'll be interested to hear what other folks have to say...

If they're like english peas and near the surface, it's probably cellulite. Scared the poo out of me the first time I'd felt them.

However, if you are having fever, night sweats, and other symptoms, get it checked out.

I had detox symptoms after doing yoga for the first time while eating LC. I got all shaky and light headed, like I was hypoglycemic or something. I tested my blood sugar and it was totally normal...the strangeness lasted a couple of hours. The only explanation I can find is detox.

I do get more painful symptoms around TOM, including sometimes dizziness, and far more cramps than usual. I have been told that this could be due to stored estrogen in fat that has then been burned-so release of extra estrogen into the system.

I would imagine that a large weight loss could cause detox, for sure.

It's best to see the doctor. It may not be safe to massage swollen/infected or otherwise irritated lymph notes given their function as well as potential problems that occur with them.
