I know this is an older post, but I had the Pinnacle whipped cream vodka and it was amazing...but it looks like the vanilla version may be a better choice. T his is from their web site and was posted as a pdf for all their flavors. so you can look up the full list. I am fairly new to alcholhol and carb counting so does this mean a serving has 14.5 carbs for the whipped and 4.5 fr the vanilla according to the sugars.

I made the BEST drink last night. Not sure on the carbs but it was 'lower'

Ice, a few frozen strawberries, a few ounces of fuze 15 calorie tropical punch, a sprinkle of sugar twin, then I put in an oz of long island iced tea mix, but rum would have worked too. Blended. Was to die for lol

Thankyou for the above info...I had some of the whipped this weekend and it was soo sweet it scared me...but it was so good in small amounts. Maybe I will try the plain vanilla next time and see how it tastes since the carbs are about 2/3 less.

got info from Pinnacle

I found this thread when I googled for the information, but couldn't seem to find accurate information anywhere. So I contacted Pinnacle and they replied the next day. Here it is:

Pinnacle Chocolate Whipped 70 proof:
serving: 1.5 fl. oz.
Cal.: 114
Fat: 0
Sodium: 0.0
Carbs: 6.8
Dietary Fiber: 0
Sugar: 6.8
Protein: 0

This is in conflict with what Livestrong has listed for Chocolate Whipped, but this is straight from the company. Pinnacle emailed me the entire flavored vodka lineup if anyone is interested. It can be found at the following link:

Sorely envious of all the flavored drinks you have in the US! I mean, marshmallow vodka, what sorcery is this

Since low carb I stick to hard liquors, getting kinda boring but that's life LOL

Well since heavy whipping cream doesn't have carbs and vodka doesn't have carbs, it sounds like an easy mix it yourself project to me.

I didn't read all the posts here but as soon as I read the first couple of responses, I thought it would be good to copy and paste something I posted on the January Atkins '72 thread. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I didn't write this; Dr Atkins did. Read it and weep. Anyway, I hope this helps.

I was reading my book a while back to refresh my memory on what's allowed on Induction and I came across something regarding alcohol that might help you understand what it really does when we drink in on Atkins.

Page 273 of "Dr Atkins Diet Revolution" (original book, which is what we do on this thread) says, "There are no studies to show just how inhibiting alcohol is on a low carb diet, but my clinical impression is alcohol is almost FMH-inhibiting as starches." (FMH being "fat mobilizing hormone.")

Page 147 says a lot: "What you need to know about alcohol. Let's talk about alcohol, because for many of my patients, this is the number one problem in weight control. (then some blah blah blah I won't include.)

Alcohol is a powerful deterrent to a low carb diet. If you've read about "The Drinking Man's Diet", you know that alcohol is not usually considered a true carbohydrate. And if you enjoy a sociable drink, you will hit upon that fact to justify adding alcohol to your diet.

But this is one diet where alcohol acts like a carbohydrate. It makes your body discharge insulin and stops you from putting out FMH. There is no hard and fast rule about how much alcohol converts into gram-equivalents of carbs, because there is remarkable individual variation in this department.

But this rule of thumb that I use represents the best average value: For every ounce of 100 proof spirits, count 20 grams. In other words, one oz of 84 proof Scotch might be thought of as 16.8 grams. Or 4 oz of 24 proof wine might be counted as 19.2 grams."

Not sure where you find "24-proof wine". That seems a little stronger than any I've had, but I'm just quoting what he said. As far as FMH, please google that or research it in his book. This is a lot of work!

This is as much of a drag to me as it is to you because back in the day, I used to drink Vodka and crystal light liberally on Atkins and I lost 40 lbs in 4 months. Not bad! But I was in my mid-30's and not all that Hypothyroid yet. It was coming on me, though. Maybe at that point I had begun taking meds for it. I don't remember because it was so many years ago (1998.)

I see this old thread is back up because a lot of us like to have a nice drink at times. The weekends sure my problem with wanting to relax with a drink. Relax not get drunk !!

Personally, I cannot believe those flavored vodkas are low carb. I have had them and I feel they are surely full of sugar. My drink of choice is plain vodka w/ diet Snapple iced tea & a slice of lemon.

I know that it has stalled my weight loss big time though. I have no choice but to stop drinking all together for now if I want to reach my goal.

Pinnacle Vodka - Whipped Cream

Hey, I found a site which states that a 1.5 oz serving of this vodka contains 8 carbs.

Thanks for the Atkins excerpt CherylB.....I knew it, but like to see the confirmation. Every weekend I would undo the losses I'd had during the week.
