We're getting a new Logan's Roadhouse

in our little (but fast-growing) town. Those of you that already have them, do they meet your expectations? My dil is going to be working there, so I
imagine we will visit it often. Do you like the food, and do they have good
LC selections? I know the steak is LC, but what about sides? It's within
walking distance of my house (if I wasn't so lazy)

I go their specifically to get the Vegetable Skewers. That's like the best zucchini I've ever eaten. /nom nom

Their steak is pretty good, too. Not saying it's the best I've ever had, but it's good enough to cover up my addiction to their skewers. LOL

Laura, thanks for the review. I'm really looking forward to it opening on the 24th. We have quite a few different places to eat here, but not a steak house. We have at least 3 mexican places, all the fast food places of course, IHOP, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel, Chinese, etc.

I like Logans, even though I cook better steaks at home.

Jentastic, I will have to check out the vegetable skewers. Thanks for telling me about them.

Glad to hear from Laura that they are not real expensive. Always a Plus!

Carole they have the cheaper cuts of steaks like Sirloin all the way to Fillet Mignon. I am a carnivore so I tend to gravitate to the steak side of the menu. I hope you'll like it

Loo, I bet yours are better (especially since you top them with butter), but I'm afraid you live a few miles more than I want to drive (or walk!) when I want steak! Maybe if I top theirs with butter, it will make them NEARLY as good as yours!

Laura, I'm sure I will like it. Somedays I can make exceptions to it not being as good as homemade, if I don't have to cook or cleanup!

You'll have to bring your own butter, I asked and all they have is margarine.

Well, I can certainly do that! I take my own catsup everywhere I go, and will start taking the English Muffins Beeb intoduced me too, so adding some butter should be
easy!

Thanks for the heads up.

For real. I wouldn't touch their "butter" with a 10 foot pole. Hubby gobbles it up though.

Oh oh, and while he's eating the nasty bread, I'm munching on the free peanuts.

That's it, we gotta go to Logan's soon.

I love Logans -- I don't be fooled by the mesquite chicken!! Chicken and cheese sauce is essentially what it is so I figured it was safe. I checked it on ****** and my was I surprised at the carbs. Now I just get the 6 oz steak with broccoli. AND STAY AWAY FROM THE PEANUTS. They send me on a binge, when a slice of pie wouldn't have. It may be different for you, and if so then EXCELLENT but I used to binge on peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches when I was on a low calorie diet and it sends a lot of signals to my brain. They are lower carb, but I still have to avoid them most times. I've gotton better about just being able to eat a few tablespoons of peanut butter and being ok, but peanuts for some reason send me to a spiraling doom.

We are visiting our son in Kalamazoo and ate at Logan's the first night here. Their sirloin salad is very good. They also have baked sweet potatoes if you are up to those. The only butter-like thing I saw was flavored and sweatened so I stayed away from that. I also managed to only eat a few peanuts, so no problem.

I go there all the time....a lady in my building at work and i eat lunch every day together...and we go there quite a bit.

On Monday's and Tuesday's they have 2 for $13.99...so I get a 6oz sirloin, garlicy buttery broccoli, and a grilled veggie scewer with zuke, onion, tomato, and mushrooms.

If I am going cheap...I get a kids burger, eat the meat without the bun and get the broccoli or a side salad.

The mesquite grilled chicken salad is to die for.

Love it...and very easy to stay lc if you tell them to not bring you any of the hot fresh butter rolls.

Logan's, Longhorn, Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Colton's, etc. All are pretty good LC choices. Like someone said, just make sure they hold the rolls.

We have Texas roadhouse here -- Ribeye & steamed veggies for me! Last time I was in KY we went to Logan's -- loved it.
