Lots of tall girls in this thread!
I wear Columbia jeans (sz. 14) which I originally thought ran a bit small. Now I think they're about right. I'm always in the market for new jeans, though. I went jean shopping last month and it seems like every pair of jeans in the mall had a bedazzled butt. My butt is already shaped like a disco ball; I don't think I need to highlight that fact by adding sparkles and studs to it.

Ditto here! I was evenly distributed, so even at my highest weight, I was in an 18 (234 lbs.).

Size 4 or 6 depending on the brand! But, lol! XL tops in Juniors thanks to a muscular back and bein' chesty.

Clothing size was one, of a few, reasons I backed off when I weighed less (124)! It bothered me that I could not buy clothing in a lot of Ladies brands that I liked because they did not run small enough .. and I did not want to be shopping exclusively in Juniors and Petites!

5'2" and 155. All my 14s are loose, so I'm thinking I fit a 12 now. On the tops, a size large now but depends. Purses no longer hang on my skinny shoulders now...have to carry them or wear them across my body. My remaining weight is mostly in my belly now and a bit of hips and thighs.

I was wearing 2X and 22W back in March.

5'9" and 194 and I wear a 14. I'd like to get back to 174 and a comfy size 12. One thing that I've noticed that since I'm tall, it usually takes about 20 lbs for me to see a difference in clothing size. I'm envious of those who change sizes with every 10 lb loss.

A few years back, my friend (who's 5'3") and I both lost 35 lbs. I went from a size 16 to a 12 and she went from a 14 to a 4! :|

So when I loose it comes off similarly. So even though my weigh is still high, im in a smaller size I guess. My frame is what I would consider normal/average. Ive never beleived the wrap your fingers around your wrist test. When I was 200+ I could barley touch the tips of my fingers round my wrist, now I can comforatably do it and overlap fingers now. Same with the tape measure thingy.

I think its amazing just how individual each and everyone of our bodies are!!! I think its great to celebrate just how different and individual we each are!
Goood post, I totally agree! It is amazing how our body shapes are all different. I once saw a young girl who looked normal size while sitting down, like she could wear maybe a medium in tops, then whe n she stood up to wak somewhere it looked like she was carrying 300 extra pounds just in the hips, thighs and butt area. So different people do carry weight in different ways. Her top portion, face, arms ect. looked skinny. So that was interesting to see.

OMG Wow! Yeah shorter people are lucky because they can wear those single digit sizes. The lowest I ever wore was an 8-10 and that was when I weighed 140 and looked like I weighed 120. So even at my smallest I still don't go lower than an 8. Short people can be that size and wear a size 2!

I'm 5ft4in, I weigh 257. Most of my clothes are 22's. Sizing drives me nuts. I have a fat lower abdomen. It looks like an intertube I can't get rid of it.
Most of my pants are 22's but a if a 22 fits low on the abdomen it gives me muffin top. Yet my jogging pants and drawstring pants are 18/20. A few of my shirts are 20. Every piece of clothing is different for me, and it all depends on how it fits that tube of fat.

When I was at my heaviest, 283 I was a big 26.

At 5'0", 115-118 lbs, size 6 or 8

Ryders - size 8 short
Liz Claiborne Classic - size 8 short
Chadwicks - size 6 Petite
Charter Club - size 6 Petite
Gloria Vanderbelt - size 6 Petite
Circo - Target girls which is a child's - size 16 or x-large.

My tops are size small, 6, 8, child's x-large--if it has stretchy fabric,
with an occasional 4....

Except for Chico's - top and bottom, both size Zero.

Girls, I'm close to you in height and weight and wear anywhere between an 18W and a regular 16 in pants size. I've quit buying pants in women's sizes b/c they are cut so big in the thighs and butt and that's not where I carry my weight. I carry mine in my waist and chest.

Wore 24W/2X at my largest and now can wear an XL or L in tops depending on the cut and the fabric.

Interesting point of view.
The grass is always greener....
Short people don't carry extra weight well.
Remember, the REVERSE is ALSO true.
A 35 lb gain would also make that short friend go from a 4 to a 14;
while a 35 lb gain for you would only take you from a 12 to a 16.

FYI, I am 5'0" and weigh 115-118, - size 6/8 petite
In order to fit into a size 2 pants, I would have to weigh in the mid-90s.
meaning that, personally, I would have to eat only about 500 calories a day
and it would have to all be zero carb.
THAT IS SO NOT HAPPENING..
