186 pounds and a size 34. Down 2 more inches! Waist size that is. For us guys. Just bought a few shirts at a 'young mens' store that normally sells to skinny guys in their 20's.

Gosh, this place is really female dominated. Not complaining, but after browsing through the forum, I feel like I need a shot of testosterone.

It's true, I'd bet it's something like 90% women here. I've never frequented another diet-related board, so I wonder if that's typical.

I also belong to a few techy boards, and the ratio there is the exact opposite. I love them and wouldn't change it, but it changes the feel, for sure.

Josh, there is a men's challenge thread called Boot Camp Charlie. I don't know how active it is these days, but someone started it a few years ago to have a more "guys' club" feel. I remember one of the rules way back then was, "no smilies"! ha. You might want to check it out.

I am currently weighing 142 on a regular basis. I'm in Maintenance, and have been since July. I am 5'5. In stretcy fabric tops I wear a small, but if there are buttons at the bust, I will wear a Medium. In jeans, I wear an 8, but I have seen 6's and 10's fit, also. I am a pear, so in A-line skirts I usually wear a 6 but in a pencil skirt, I will need an 8- sometimes even a 10.

Frame size and musculature account for a lot! There's someone upthread who is my height and weighs about 50 lbs less than I, and we wear the same size too.

Oh yes. I happen to love Ralph Lauren and hate Target. I'm always a size bigger in anything they sell at Target.

I guess that's why I find this thread so interesting. I've noticed before that a lot of people who weigh more than I do can wear smaller sizes than I can. I can wear size 6 right now but some of my sixes still seem too tight. I've thought that it might be because of my height and also the fact that I'm quite fine boned so I'm sure my bones don't weigh as much as some other people's might. It also might be due to my weight distribution. I'm relatively slender but I do have a muffin top which I find bothersome and I'm fairly large bosomed with full enough thighs.. I suppose my shape is just a little odd for standard sizes. Sometimes if pants fit my waist comfortably, they are too big in the derriere and thighs. On the other hand, I have hip-hugger jeans which seem to fit my behind and legs perfectly but would fall off my hips if I didn't cinch my belt so tightly it touches the actual skin of my stomach. I usually wear a medium top and sometimes even a large. It just goes to show we all have different body types no matter our weight. I think someone on these boards has mentioned a site which pictures groups of women who weigh the same amount but whose bodies vary wildly in appearance.

Body Composition makes a big difference: Muscle weights way more then fat, and as others have mentioned your body frame. Some small frame folks have more body fat. I have friends that clearly look bigger then me, wear bigger sizes that weight equal or less.

Im in small tops...not all small..The weight in my abdominal area and menopausal bust..has JUST started to reduce significantly..I went down a cup sz ( YES!) and I have a waist or the beginnings of one...that brought me to small tops..and smaller 6's...160 lbs does not seem small to me at all....It may be the exercise and wt training...420 min a week

My boobs are my biggest problem. 40 DD right now which is one of the main reasons I began a low carb lifestyle again. I have 3 herniated discs in my c-spine and these boobs are KILLING me! In pants I am ashamed to say I'm wearing a size 12. Tops XL and 1X at times depending on the brand. (Thank GOD it's sweater weather.) I was at 191 # this morning. I have a medium frame. I'm 5'5 and goal is to get back down to 150 # which is comfortable for me.
