Ntombi isn't that unreal??
I went into Lane Bryant, found a black shirt that was mis-marked a 00 for a size 12-14. Never been a 12 unless it was at 12 yrs of age!!
The 00 fit; so I purchased it. I sent a photo of the size to my BFF and told her: "I'm a nobody now, and this shirt proves it!!"

My goal size is a 12, and I don't know when I was last that size, but I know it was in early middle school!

Interesting you have 40 lbs difference and we wear the same size. I am wide at the waist and narrow on hips and butt, juniors are a good cut for me, shape wise and I am 9 in those.

I'm a pear shape so M tops (no boobies) and 8-12 pants. That prolly means I'm a 10?

I'm so cheap when it comes to pants that I just don't buy much anyway. I'll buy one pair of $120 jeans and they will last me for years. I own 2 pairs of nice black dress slacks in size 8 and 10.

You probably look much better in the same dress

My extreme hour glass shape has been such a curse. Between that, and Spanx, and the ability to pick the most flattering dresses possible, I was in denial for so long about how heavy I'd gotten. If I posted a photo of myself right now you guys would probably guess I was 20 lbs lighter -- I'm one of those people. But I'm done finding refuge in that and just want to be healthy. And not have doctors be amazed at how much I weigh :/

not sure if I posted earlier..LOL..this is an old thread.
But right now weighong around 180-185 and wears a size10-12 and large in tops
When I used to be 150lbs,I wore size 4 and 6 and small in tops.I am 5'6".
But I also agree it varies for each brand and each type of shop
I don't concentrate so much on what size anymore than how good I look in certain clothes.I have a skinny friend but she has really bad fashion sense whereas another is little on the plump side, but chooses the right cut and shape for her,and looks prettier and modern.

Hard to say. I've purchased everything from a 10-14. Sizes just aren't consistent anymore because they're trying to make women think they were an 8 when they really wear a 12.

I'm 5'9" and 146. I wear mostly 8L pants, but fit nicely in my 6L Levi's 515 jeans. I wear medium tops and dresses, and have a pretty large chest.

I have a large frame, at 168 right now. I wear a M in tops and 12 pants/jeans which are feeling very loose. I have a pair of 10's that I've started wearing and that feels good!

Can you go into a store and find out for us?

I am 5'9" and about 170 right now. I can wear a size 8. A size 10 is more comfortable.
And I am a size large on a women's cut shirt. Size Medium for a unisex.
