DB Was Told to Do LC!!!

HOW ABOUT THAT!!

His triglycerides are so high, HDL so low and LDL also high, that our Doctor told him to either do LC or start on drugs!

I am so happy!! Not because his trigs are high but because FINALLY he will be doing LC and on his way to better health!! All the levels of his cholesterol were so out of whack, as a matter of fact, that now he is a bit scared so he is willing to eat the LC way! Again I cheer................FINALLY!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

That is awesome, Beeb.
It's nice that doctors are recognizing that there are other methods to reduce cholesterol.

lol Beeb!!! That is really great news!!!!!! I can relate to how excited you are .. I have a few family members I would like to help, but have to just "lead by example" if I am to ever help them ....

And if you just wait .. lol! .. looks like someone "official" usually helps the process along!! lol! I got my mom a trainer .. turns out she is a bodybuilder and put my mom on lc .. she didn't call it that, but it is!

love it!!!! Looks like now you get to help DB a little, eh??!!

Hi I have been low carbing for 12 years now. My triglycerides were 450 ish. Now they are under 100. HDL was around 35. Now they are about 130. My doctor said she has never seen HDL so high.

Thanks everyone! Boy is he having problems with this!

He knows exactly how I eat, sees me eat my LC way all the time, yet he just can't wrap his mind around the limited bread, pasta, potato, etc. thing. I would love for him to do Atkins but I KNOW it would send him over the edge so I'm helping him with South Beach but he still doesn't understand.

Example: Asked what he was having for lunch. Tells me he was going to the deli for a wrap. I said it was not a good idea this soon in the game, and he just couldn't understand why. We bought him LC wraps the other day and he didn't understand that the deli wraps are WAY higher in carbs then the ones he got.

But I am proud of him! He chose a salad when he got to the deli instead and that was a great thing!

Gerald, I'm going to show him your post, I'm sure it will be inspiring!

I hate men and their metabolism!

He is getting the hang of it, too and the weight loss is such an incentive for him right now, I'm so happy!!
