Which would be better, some sake or a glass of wine?
I'm going out tonight on a date and I'm kind of tired of drinking rum and diet cokes. Does anyone know how many carbs are in sake vs red wine or have any other drink suggesitons????
Thanks! |

I would google for the nutritional facts for the wine you want to drink and the sake.
See what is a better choice! ![]() |

I think sake is usually higher carb. For the wine, you want something really dry, whether it's white or red. If you are a sophisticated wine drinker, you know what that means. If not, often what people think of as a "mellow" wine is really pretty sweet and high in sugar. Dry white wines are fairly crisp tasting by comparison. The red wines can still be robust and have low residual sugar though. You can taste the sweetness in them, and it's not a good thing! LOL

Sake- Serving size 1 oz, 39 calories, 1 carb.
Red Wine (cabernet sauvignon)- serving size, 1 oz, 24 calories, 1 carb. I would go with the wine, personally. I like to do a pinto grigio spritzer with seltzer water, it lasts longer. |
