BJS RESTAURANT - recommendations

Hello, Good morning!

I am having lunch with a friend at Bj's restaurant today, but the last time i went i couldn't really find anything LC on the menu. Does anyone have any recommendations? I really don't feel like ordering a salad. I'm checking their menu online right now, but if you have any suggestions, please help!

For an appetizer I've had their spinach and artichoke dip, and asked for cucumber/veggie slices instead of tortilla chips. It was delicious. Their lunch menu has salmon - I'd probably get that without any sugary glaze, and with double vegetables but no rice. Enjoy lunch with your friend!

Last time I was there, I had the California burger--bunless, with a side salad.
I've also had the roast chicken. Some of their sandwiches look like they would be good without the bread.
Heck--last time I was there, someone ordered the fried cheese sticks--I had two of them--after I had peeled all the breading off--just a blob of cheese, but pretty good still.
I love BJ's Caesar salads--nice and garlicky

Sometime I am going to go there and order a med. or large special pizza and ask them to hold the crust and see what happens....they should have no problem with that, though:blush:
Carpe diem!

Be careful of their Ceasar Salad dressing - I swear there is sugar in it. It knocked me right out of ketosis.

They have a newer Italian Medley salad. I order w/o the garbanzo beans and the dressing (sweet balsamic). They'll substitute the dressing for you... their dressings tend to be sweet so I always order them on the side.

I looked up the menu and this is what I would order if I had a lunch date at this particular restaurant.

Our half-pound patty served on sourdough bread, topped with avocado, roasted green chilies, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayonnaise ranch dressing.

Ditch the bread and the dressing and ask for a side of non starchy veggies and an iced tea.

I ate at BJ's once back in 2007 and got food poisoning. I will never eat there again.

I got their fish & chips.

They'll do the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with only parmesan cheese/no bread crumbs for you. You just have to ask. I always get this, and a side of sauteed spinach.
