feeling very very sick
going in on my second week, was throwing up and feel lik ei'm going to do it again.....i feel horrible, trying so hard not to jump off the wagon
! and might i add, i can't get myself to eat, i try to make myself and then i wanna puke some more.....makes me sick to think about eggs or cheese or anything.Last edited by carterbv; 07-28-2010 at 09:37 AM.. |

Sorry to hear of your sickness However, just remember that eating off plan will only serve to make you feel worse not better! Drink lots of fluids and get your rest.This too shall pass. |

Unless you've eaten spoiled food it's not the food or your food plan.
How about some chicken or beef broth? Filling and it will give you some liquid! Feel better soon!! |

Well...try the broth and if you can handle it then try soup with some LC veggies in it...Of course the last thing you want to do is cook or go to the store. So I hope you've got broth (maybe those little cubes) or soup in your pantry. But you have to get your liquids in or you'll get super sick.

Could be still into that induction phase.. I was like that for 3 weeks before I stop getting sick =/ Drink more water, more sodium if it helps. Try not to force yourself to eat. If you're not hungry, don't eat.

I feel nauseated if I go down too close to effectively zero carbs, or just go for too many hours with none at all. Could be that. Bring your carbs up to Induction level of 20g, most of that being from vegetables, and spread them out over the day, see if that helps.

There really isn't anything that should make a person sick in the foods that are eaten on a low carb diet, so perhaps you are actually feeling the effects of a tummy bug.
If you have been used to a VERY high carb diet, especially the BAD carbs of white flour/sugar 'treats, snacks and desserts' then I guess it is possible for your system to feel unsettled from a sudden absence of the fuel it ran on. Although I see that you have been a member here for two years. Have you just recently returned to a LC program of eating? Maybe you're just not used to it yet. Also, if you aren't getting in your 20 carbs or more per day at your OWL level, why? Have you proven to yourself that you can't lose weight that way? Or don't feel well at that slightly higher level? I hope you are feeling better as I am writing. Or soon, at least. I'd say just take care of yourself and your tummy as you normally do if you get some upset. |

it might have nothing at all to do with low carb.
it is very hot summer. it can happen going from hot to airconditioned room back and forth. it can be anything at all. it would not hurt to check it out at the doctor, if it has lasted this long. why suffer? Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

It did come on with extreme weakness! I just ate donuts to soak up or whtaever, i feel very dizzy but i'm not going to stop my LC...i just needed something to soak up whatever was making me feel sick. I don't think i'm getting enough carbs because i'm not hungry at all and i have making myself eat so i don't get too sick and that's hard because that also makes me wanna get sick. ugh! I think what started it all was that day i went with no green veggies, all i had was eggs, sausage, and two hamburger patties, along with cheese and olives.

You might have a stomach virus..I had this several times one year..Not pleasant at all..and I ate saltines and drank gingerale and jello. Your tummy is health is important.
My doctor recommended some overthecounter acid blockers that worked really well. |
