DH and I went to our local natural food store today and I was deeply disturbed to learn about this:

New legislation in the U.S. Senate would mandate that every dietary supplement would have to go through a brand new process of government review in order to stay on the market.

If this bill, S. 3002, the Dietary Supplement Safety Act, becomes law your health care choices will be drastically reduced, and many of the supplements available today will become illegal. This and other provisions of this misguided legislation affect ALL dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, sports, and diet products.

Even though the bill’s original sponsors, Sens. John McCain and Byron Dorgan, reportedly have backed away from their legislation, we need to keep up the pressure to dissuade other Members of Congress from taking up the bill.




Let your senators know that you oppose this. I personally think this is an attempt to boost the already greedy Big Pharma companies.

Big pharma is already making a prescription fish oil pill. I saw it advertised on t.v. the other night. Here we go America.

I am soon to be 45 years old and I take no medication what so ever except for my daily vitamins and supplements. I refuse to go get a prescription for vitamins.
