what mamagiff said.

whatever can be put into a sandwich, can also be eaten w/o the bread. subway has oodles of meat, cheese, tomato, and whatnot. Just be cautious with the whatnot. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I get the $5 grilled chicken. Lots of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, olives, mayo, mustard, oil and vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano.

Do not get a salad thinking it is the same as the sandwich. They gave me only 1 chicken breast instead of 2 with the sandwich, they also gave me less cheese. I thought it would be better getting the salad but you get more with the sandwich sans the bread. Just eat around it.

This! It's cheaper to get sandwich loaded to the gills with extra lettuce and dump it out on the wrapper and eat it without the bread - the $5 foot long grilled chicken breast - yum!!

I get the salad, and I save the bowl because it is the perfect size for lunches at work. It may be a bit more spendy, but it saves me $$$ on containers. My fave combo is grilled chicken with Southwest Chipotle sauce.

You can make any of their sandwiches into a salad for $1 more. Don't forget the vinegar, oil, salt and pepper for even more zip!

Subway's tuna salad does not have bread crumbs in it.

From the website: TUNA: Tuna, Subway regular mayonnaise, water, salt. Contains egg and fish.

The new Atkins book has it listed in their recommended items from Subway.

I bring an oopsie roll with me (I form them into hoagie shapes before baking) and then move the good stuff into my low-carb "bread."

I always get a turkey & ham salad with extra chicken, add bacon & southwest chipolte sauce. the bacon! It does cost more then the sandwich, but I only have it once a week & I really enjoy it.

It says on their allergen list that tuna has autolyzed yeast and hydrolyzed protein which can cause similar reactions as msg.

Tuna in Minnesota and Florida has hydrolyzed vegetable protein (comes from soy, corn, or wheat).

Plus, the refined soybean oil in mayo.

the great thing about subway is you can get unlimited veggies so tell them to load that baby up with all your fave LC options(onions, tomato and sweet peppers are high end).... throw some bacon on it and cheese and have them toast it.... I like the chicken breast w/bacon, cheese, lots of veggies and ranch dressing... the steak is good too. I tell them not to cut it in half then I just open it and eat it with a fork.... toss the bread when done

Is it 100% you get 2 chicken breasts when you order the 5$ chicken breast sub? Because this is 2nd time i've gotten the salad and i only get one.. from now on if that's the case, i'll just get the foot long and say no to the bread and have them put it in a bowl.. i know they'll say something about just order a salad.. but then i'll bring up ... sub you get 2 pieces of chicken... so that's right, right?
