Carbs in tea and coffee?

Do you guys count the carbs in your iced or hot tea or coffee?

Ive been counting my coffee as 1 carb per cup but most teas I count as zero carb except for the Chai's and other types which say 1 carb.

I've kinda been wondering this same thing. I too count each cup as 1 carb.

I don't count my coffee carbs, but only because my food totals never go above 10-15. So I figure the coffee probably still keeps me under 20.

i use a tracking program so in order to track my hwc intake i have to add my coffee. its usually negligible unless i decide to have a few cups of decaff as a "snack".

Hi Michelle…
Why do you count coffee as anything? The USDA Nutrient database lists the carb count for 1 cup as zero...and they compute and report very small increments of carbohydrates in food...even partial carbs.

If they don't count it, I don't either.

NO! one reason is my carb book says 0
being said, it it was one, then there would be daus that I would be over 20 carbs and I know MY body and I would be out of Ketosis .

my calorie site lists brewed coffee as zero and instant as .77 grams per 8 oz cup, though of course some people make it stronger than others and who drinks just 8 oz in a mug?

****** says that herbal tea has 1/2 carb per 8 oz.

Nutrition Facts says that 8 oz of black tea has 1 carb.

The Daily Planet says that green tea has 1/2 carb per 8 oz.

Yes, I count them.

Nope. I drink tea all day long. Never count it unless I add something to it, which is rare.

Yep. I count all carbs.

****** says 1 8-ounce mug of decaff has .24 grams. No big deal except I often have 6 cups of it. That adds up to 1.4 grams. 1.4 is 1.4, it isn't zero.
