Buttery richness with a somewhat bland flavor - that's why it makes a great guacamole. It's the right texture/fattiness to support onion, cilantro, lime, chili peppers, etc.

I usually slice & add to salads, tacos, fajitas or make guacamole out of it.

My food? Muskrat. I live in a rural area and it has kind of a cult following. I don't feel the need to add "rat" into my diet.

I am not very daring in the vegetable department, so I'm sure there are lots of others that I'm not thinking of, but off the top of my head, I have not eaten eggplant or turnips.

I love those veggies I have tried (for the most part), so I don't know what stops me from trying others.

I'm pretty sure I've eaten most everything except for my culturally "gross" stuff list like bugs, brains and other internal goodies, eyeballs and such. Yeah, I guess there are some "external goodies" I have not and will not eat (and I'm just going to leave it at that.) Otherwise, my motto is I will eat it at least once. Unfortunately I end up liking most of it.

I've never tried Brussels sprouts. They just don't look appealing.

Most meats other than the standard. I tried deer once and did not care for it at all. My SO lived in the hills of Mexico as a child and hunted for his own food so he's had all of it, from rats to wild CATS to snakes to moldy corn. Blech.

There's lots of ways I like avocado. A fast way is to cut it open, take out the seed, add salt and or onion powder, cut and eat. Rich and delicious in my opinion.

I've never tried guava. I would though. Just never had the right opportunity, I guess!

As for avocado, it's smooooth, creamy, buttery, and has a unique flavor all its own. Get a Haas though. The others aren't worth eating, IMHO! Haas has an almost black, pebbly skin. Cut it in half lengthwise, pop out the seed, put a blop of Best Foods (Hellman's) mayo in the seed cavity, and have at it with a spoon! Don't bother to peel it, just eat it out of the "shell."

As for things I don't CARE to try, brains, kidneys, and testicles would all be on the list...

I haven't had Macaroni and cheese for years, but I still yearn for it. I love the Kraft in the blue box!

Calamari is excellent stuff, we eat it a LOT around here, but then it's caught right offshore from where we live. YUM!

As I was reading I knew you had to be from Calif!!! Although, I personally dont eat avocado with Mayo, Californian's are the only ppl I know of that do.
