I always have to get a 5 lb roll of groud beef then separate it when I get home. It's cheap, it's simple, and there are so many different ways you can use it. It's always good to have in a pinch!

The carb blockers are a waste of money-you can research this. Save your money for a good steak. And it does help to know what plan your are following.

Avocadoes
Tomatoes
Cauliflower
Cream Cheese
Steak
Chicken

All of the above but avoid the Soy Milk and go with Almond Milk. Google soy and it's affects in large doses. For me the growth of MOOBS is all I needed to know to avoid much more than an rare dose.

soy is ok in moderation. i can't drink almond milk cause i have a tree nut allergy.
i'm not one of those people who goes overboard with it.

Wild-caught salmon, and sardines -- load up on the Omega 3's!
Fresh spinach (sauteed in olive oil and garlic, yum)
My favorite LC veggie: snow pea pods (not snap peas) -- the frozen box of La Choy ones have only 2 carbs per serving and they're sweet and delicious.
Extra virgin coconut oil
Ghee (clarified butter) as an alternative for cooking -- probably only in a natural foods or specialty store

MIM is muffin in a minute (or something similar). I think it was Cleochatra that has a flaxseed minute cracker, too, that's really good with some seasoning and topped with cream cheese.

From 3 Fat Chicks Website

The 1-Minute Muffin

OMG I found this recipe on another thread.. it is fantastic for Atkins, Induction Friendly and Packed with Omega-3s

In a tea cup or other microwaveable one cup item:

1. Melt 1-2 tbsp of butter
2. Mix in

* 1 egg
* Sweatner to taste ( I like using 1 TBSP of SF Davinci Syrup or liquid splenda) (I think she means Sweetener)
* Mix in 1/4 cup of flaxseed meal (and/or mix with almond meal, protein powder)
* 1/4 tsp of baking powder

3. Microwave on high for 1 minute*
4. Turn out and let cool

The muffin may look kind of wet at first, but it dries quickly as it cools.
Eat warm with butter or wrap cooled muffin in plastic to eat later.

*cooking time may vary depending on your microwave, avoid overcooking

Quote:
Using butter and truly carb free sweetener, such as liquid splenda or DaVinci syrup:

239 Calories
19 gms fat
18 gms carbs
17 gms fiber

Resulting in 1 net gm carbs.

If using powdered splenda, add 1 -2 gms of carbs, depending on how much used.

I think I have two versions, but if not I can give an alternate. It's a little more exact in the ingredients list than what a previous poster provided. I have at least one per day, sometimes two.

I meant to ask you if you mind me sharing that on my blog. Some great recipe's and I could add a few of my own as well. Perhaps I could put it in a PDF format or create a simple recipe site to host them?
