It's FRIDAY! What are your little victories today?

I'll start! I've been maintaining and not losing any more for three weeks--the first time since my post-induction mini-stall months ago. And it feels good. I could choose to be disappointed that I'm not losing more, but instead I'm looking at it as "this is what it's going to be like, so get used to it!"

even though i saw a half pound gain this morning for NO reason (i've been a VERY good girl, really!!) i still kept myself from sampling all the baking i did this morning. the *old* Amy would've gorged herself on those cookies & banana loaf...the *new* Amy decide's that's only going to get me further from my goal.

I'm back down to 293 from 296 yesterday, I can't seem to stick to 288 even though I'm staying on plan, but 293 is better than 296.

Peanutte, My victory as of late has been to find determination to change all aspects of my life. I've turned 40 this year and for some reason I feel the need to make changes; ie my job. I'm in a dead end job with no room for growth and I kept telling myself that I will look for a new job ONCE I've lost weight, thinking that I'll have the confidence that I will need to represent myself during interviews.

Well, I've decided to go for it. I'm in a comfort zone where I work and maybe somewhere new will get me out of the rut I'm in. So, I'm emailing resumes tonight and getting rid of excuses that have been holding me back.

Life is too short, right?

Sorry for the lengthy response...

PS: I'm still scared though - scared of changes.

There are no LITTLE victories. I am continueing with portion control. i made a little egg salad for lunch with diced celery and mayo. i could have added 1 or 2 5 oz cans of tuna. but, i sensed, i only needed the eggs. besides, adding the tuna would have taken more time away from y'all. I rate y'all as more important than canned tuna. Besides, y'all are mercury free (well, pretty much). I say y'all a lot, because i come from the southern hemisphere of Ferenghinar. Well this morning I weighed myself and lost two lbs. I'm at 42 and my goal is 50 by Jan 4...I'm cutting it close but believe it's possible. The only person that can stop me is myelf.

Also, when I started this woe in august I was in size 24 jeans...about a month ago (if that) I had to dig out the 22's and today I can barely keep them on! My waist is falling and my butt is sagging! Lol yea!!!!

Great thread!

Instead of going to a pot luck lunch today, I went for a run. On my way out the door, I pass the room and one woman asked, "You're going running instead of eating?" Note: It's about 23 degrees F in Massachusetts today.

"Yup" is all I said and went out to run.

I was tempted to make Oinking noises as I went by, but that would have been a bit much.

After I came back, my coworkers were ready to fall asleep. I felt great.

Sharis had asked that someone start a new one of these threads every day, so I am simply trying to keep up a new tradition. I like reading about everybody's positive stuff.

What started out as a planned gastronomical meal today, I scrapped enroute and cut the ride short. Just simply was not hungry....has been a ongoing situation, and the streets were just too wet. I'd rather freeze and be dry rather than dripping wet and trying to clear my vision every few seconds.

So now I'm going to have options tonight, hmmm, I do have that Morton's $50 gift card somewhere now???

Well today is our anniverary and we are going out for dinner and cocktails. It's been over a year since we've had a date night. Anyway, I recently made it to goal and I can wear all of my clothes comfortably. I was planning on wearing a slinky black dress but we are not going to a fancy place so I thought it'd be better to wear something a little more casual and fun. My point is, I have options! I can wear them all and it feels so damn good!

My vote is for the low-cut jeans... something to make his tongue roll out.

I went to Cracker Barrel and ate a salad and my chicken and that's it. I did NOT eat any of the vending machine junk, either.

Thanks Peanutte for the thread and thanks everyone for sharing. It makes me so happy to share in everyone's strength and victories.

Today I went to lunch and got the Cobb Salad. Didn't even look at the other stuff. It was a nice enough restaurant but not really up the the caliber I need to make my eyes wander to things that are off my plan. But it was close, lol. I had reviewed the menu online last night and was prepared. Didn't even look at the menu. It was so easy and simple.

Then I went to World Market and ended up in the cookie/chocolate section (funny how that happens .) None of it even looked good. That sort of amazed me. I decided to treat myself to Pumpkin Pie and Gingerbread Torani's syrup instead of the other stuff. Yay!

Oh, got a little woosh this morning too. I've been struggling and was up a pound or two and now it's gone.

Hubby and I were out shopping and he got hungry so we stopped at Popeyes for lunch, I had never been, I thought I can choose a little something, but nothing, I mean nothing was low carb so I got a diet coke and watched hubby eat. I didn't even want anything at all. I made a hamburger when we got home. I got my almond flour order today too. Yay holiday baking here I come!!!

Does it have to be food or weight related? Cuz I'm pretty amazed, seriously, that I made it through my work day without punching anyone in the throat. Victory. Forreals.

I made the mistake of going into Wal Mart hungry after a long work shift.. the plan was to buy cans of tuna, chicken breast, string cheese, and ground chuck.. but i found myself hesitating in front of the marked down Xmas treat table, and ALMOST talked myself into buying a 3 dollar cake and eating the entire thing in my car.

but then i shook my head, broke the trance, and continued to the meat aisle

Must have been one of those vampire cakes left over from Halloween. I ran into one of those recently, but I was wearing my pentacle, so I was OK.

Peanutte, I love this thread!

I weighed in at 139 this morning. Partially because a week ago I did NOT stock up on the Girardelli peppermint bark they had at the supermarket, even though I was tempted.

I think the Carbquik waffle breakfasts I've been eating have a positive effect on appetite too--probably because they are mostly fiber and clog up the works in a way that discourages putting much more in after them.

Whatever it is, I'll take it.

Glad to see the waffles are working out for you Jenny. You must be thrilled!! I may have to give them a try one of these days.

Good job everyone! Yes, not killing people is worth celebrating I think ! Good job on the cake Loveyourself. That is a huge victory to be sure.
Thanks again all for sharing. I hope we keep these daily threads up. I get so much from hearing about others wins. I love it!
