Someone mentioned lc honey mustard sauce on a recipe and I would like to know where you find it, is it common in stores? Or is there a recipe?

I use mustard and Davinci SF Pancake syrup or Walden Farms SF Pancake syrup to make a Honey Mustard type marinade, salad dressing, or basting sauce.

I am a honey mustard fiend - it was the only dressing I used pre-LC. After many trials, I think I have mastered a LC version of Outback's honey mustard (my fav). I take 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1/3 cup dijon mustard, 2 T mayo, a 1/8 cup of half n half (or heavy cream), lots of garlic powder and liquid sweetener. I mix it all together in the blender. This makes a small sized salad dressing bottle amount. I it.

This is my made-up LC honey mustard. My niece's 17 yr old football player BF told me he wants a jar of this for Christmas.

LC Honey Mustard

2 C. Mayo (I use Hellman's Canola)
3-4 T. Apple cider vinegar
2-3 t. prepared yellow mustard
3-4 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. paprika
4-5 drops liquid splenda

You may have to play with this a bit to get it to the consistency that suits you best. Plenty of garlic and sweetner give it the kick it needs. This stuff is GOOD!

i thought my recipe was good, but I tried Mayberryfan's recipe today and it is awesome, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an authentic tasting honey mustard dressing/dip. I used it to dip LC chicken tenders, and again this evening on my salad.

This sounds great. I like to use these types of sauces when cooking chicken.

I just whipped up a small batch of Mayberryfan's recipe and it is good. Here is my scaled down version:

MAYBERRYFAN'S LC HONEY MUSTARD
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon paprika
4 teaspoons granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda

Mix all ingredients well. You can use this at once but I recommend letting it chill a few hours to allow the flavors to blend.

Makes about 9 tablespoons

With granular Splenda:
Per Tablespoon: 90 Calories; 10g Fat; trace Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb
Per 2 Tablespoons: 180 Calories; 20g Fat; trace Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs

With liquid Splenda:
Per Tablespoon: 89 Calories; 10g Fat; trace Protein; .5g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; .5g Net Carb
Per 2 Tablespoons: 178 Calories; 20g Fat; trace Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb

Mayberryfan's recipe made four times this much. I didn't know what I'd use that much for so I cut everything down to about 1/4 of the original recipe. To make a smaller batch I had to adjust the amounts a little but Mayberryfan suggested tweaking it to your taste anyway. I admit that I'm not a huge fan of mustard but this has a nice sweet and tangy flavor with just a hint of mustard.

Honey Mustard recipe

Hi -

Don't know the source but here's one I had in my handy-dandy archive of LC recipes and it's pretty darn good.

Honey Mustard Sauce

1 Tbs. Dijon Mustard
1 Tbs. Spicy Brown Mustard
2 Tbs. Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Packet Splenda

Mix – great as sauce dip for crispy chicken tenders and cheddar cheese. Maybe use as base for salad dressing too by adding mayo and/or sour cream? experiment.
