Wii Fit Board - Other good games?

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for other games for with the Fitboard for the wii - excercies and stuff ..

I bought Shawn White Snowboarding but haven't tried it yet - is it any good in general? For excercise??

Thoughts are appreciated - what are the best games for with fitboard?

I don't have one, but from what I've heard, the Wii Fit gives you a really good workout. But I've also heard that it's kind of rude to you.

It's not KINDA rude. This morning I wanted to reach through the TV and choke that little thang that keeps saying, "That's OBESE!" Hello, why do you think I'm here, you little snark?

But yes, the workout is good.

FYI - it told me I'm "normal" but also does that "ohhhh" noise whenever I step on... hahahaha I don't think the sound effect when you stand on it has anythng to do with weight.. lol

I have a wii and find that it makes working out fun and not a chore... I dread going to the gym and I have no problem with the wii each night.
I just bought "The Biggest Loser" for the wii but haven't began that program yet. I will let you know when I have....

For those that have one, has it ever called you a wimp or a couch potato?

It threw me a happy little party for achieving a goal. And then it called me obese.

I like Wii Fit Plus, AE Sports, and Golf (I think it's AE golfing). For a better free step workout on the regular Wii Fit, I place my Wii board on my step aerobics platform.

LOL, no, mine has not called me names! And yeah, it does go "Ohhhh!" when you step on it sometimes. And I'm in the "normal" range so it's just something it says.

I have Wii Fit and I love the thing. I also love Wii Resort, Wii Outdoor Challenge (uses its own mat that plugs into the console), and a few other things that get me moving. Even the golf and bowling will get you breaking a sweat if you play it alone and keep moving! (If you're not already in the "iron Man challenge" or something at least.... :P )

EA Sports Active, and it's second part which I think has just come out called "More Workouts" are both very good in giving you a workout. Both have some aspects in the games which use the Wii Board (although most of the exercises don't use it.)

Another game which I don't have but have heard is very good is "Wii Ski" / "Family Ski" which is a skiing/snowboarding game which uses the Wii balance board.

As I recall, the directions say you should use the board in your bare feet.

Barefeet is best. You can get protective covers cheaply for the board which give protection and a nicer more comfortable grip to the soles of your feet.

What is the padded thing? does it make it softer?

The one I have is a silicone case which keeps it clean and adds extra grip when you stand on it. If you go to Amazon and search for "wii board silicone" you'll come up with a few examples.

Here's an example of one:

Sometimes I use bare feet, usually I'm wearing socks, and I have, on rare occasion, used my favorite running shoes on it. I've heard the silicone pads are nice, but I haven't purchased one yet.

I can imagine some soft yoga-type shoes would be an alternative as well, if you don't want to go barefoot.

Ahh... I really want a Wii now. My BF used to want one too (for games) but now he's more into getting an x-box or a PS.

Seriously...you two would have a load of fun TOGETHER if you got the Wii Fit board. Especially if you can talk him into doing the hula hooping. I just about pee myself when my husband gets on there and shakes his bum, trying to control an imaginary hula hoop.

Oh, I know. I once convinced him to do the yoga from P90X with me. It was hilarious. Until he gave up after about 10 minutes.

Neat idea! I hadn't thought of mixing it up like that... would be a good excercise I bet!

That's what I do too - I get a more natural motion and it's much easier on the old hip and knee joints!
