S/O What is your favorite diet soda?
For those of you that have no problem drinking diet soda, what is your diet soda of choice?
My favorite is diet A&W Rootbeer. Even before Lc'ing I preferred the diet over regular, regular is too sweet. I had one last night for the first time in months and it was awesome. |

I probably have one diet soda per week at most. Its usually a Hansen's. I love the grapefruit or pomegranate.

Has to be Diet Mt Dew. In fact, in several of my other post I make referrence to the addiction to them. One of the harder things I had to do LCing was to give up the quanity that I used to drink. Now treat myself with on with my dinner meal and sometimes a sip before I go out the door in the morning. Otherwise, has to be water.

Diet Coke.
![]() Last time I had been keeping VLC for a long time, I had some Sprite Zero as a sweet treat. It tasted sooo sweet when my taste-buds were completely weaned off any sweet tastes. I also loved Cherry Zero Coke when I had it in the US, but it isn't available here. Otherwise I'd probably have that all the time. Last edited by InspiredBlue; 11-03-2009 at 10:57 AM.. I just want to throw in a bit of a PSA about soda. Check the ingredients on yours, and if it contains phosphoric acid, switch to a brand that doesn't. Phosphoric acid robs your body of calcium, and that can lead to osteoporosis. PSA over.

I don't drink diet soda.
Seltzer with lemon is my favorite and quite refreshing. Feels good in my stomach too. |

Just trying to spare people from the diagnosis I just got. I have osteoporosis in my hips, and I'd have done anything to avoid it. Osteoporosis of the hips is a main cause of hip fractures, which is a major contributor to death in the elderly. Nothing to trifle with. |

making a concerted effort to cut back on carbonated (it causes or aggravates digestive indiscretions), but I do get diet chocolate soda. i use Waist Watchers or Faygo. I keep a big 2 liter bottle of water by my bedside (tapwater). i bought crystal lite, but I haven't used it yet. i love coke zero & any diet root beer though. i MUST have diet chocolate in the house though. count that as 2!
Try to work on making them infrequent. It does disrupt the very fine calcium/phosphorus balance. Heck, I even monitor my dog's c/p ratios! ![]() |

Yes, but I don't know if it matters. Fawn, can you answer this question? I have found sodas without it, but don't know if the other acids they put in its place can have the same effect.

There is a brand available where I am called waist watchers. They have all kinds of different flavors including the old standby's and they are made with splenda instead of aspartame. I think they almost taste like the real thing!

TaB is the only diet cola I like, and the Rt. 44 diet Limeades from Sonic are great - but I haven't kept sodas in the house in years, and usually order iced tea when dining out.

diet Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash!!!! Soooo good...kind of reminds me of a shirley temple and doesn't have that diet taste. Don't usually like diet soda, would rather drink water, but this one is good. Also Diet Rite tangerine and black cherry.
