I have Tammy to thank for the shake idea! It does go well with the blueberries!
I take 12 a day, but I worry that the nutritive value of the pills isn't as good as the liquid.

I found a mint-flavored one at Vitamin Cottage some time back and it wasn't bad, but they didn't have it next time I looked for it. So I bought a mint-flavored emulsified CLO that tasted really good, only to discover later that it has 5 carbs per spoonful
When it's gone, it sounds like I should go looking for the Carlson's lemon.

That's great and she's so cute.

I don't understand the "punish the kids" thing. Did people go to the store back then and buy it specifically for that purpose or did they know it was something good for you and the punishment was just a separate thing?

Start kids on anything no matter what and they are likely to love it when they get older. Think of all those people who look forward to eating lutefisk!

Or sheep's eyeballs.

My great grandmother in Kentucky use to give this to us when we came to visit in the summer. Just thinking about it brings back that horrible taste!

I eat lutefisk. When I was growing up, we always had it on Christmas. Where I live now, they have lutefisk dinners during the winter months. Hey, anything is good doused in butter!

I know this thread has kind of died down but since I was vehemently against liquid CLO and I got my Netrition order today I just wanted to add -

After trying the Carlsons liquid it is a bajillion times better than the Arctic Naturals Peach liquid (and it was completely doable). I think someone else in the tread said the Carlsons tasted like a lemon drop and I completely agree.

I know some people think I should be in LC h*ell for this but I don't care and am going to share for those who might benefit. I took 1/2 teaspoon just straight out of the bottle and it was great and how I will always take the full dose from now on. But just to see how it was I had also gotten some bottles of Davinci's and throughout the day I routinely take shots of Davinci's - just because I like to - so I took the other 1/2 teaspoon with a shot of orange. With that there wasn't even the slightest hint of fish taste at all.

Oh yeah - I just gotta wait till I can sneak out of town and do some shopping. Pretty limited options here in Corn Country.

I just have to figure out where I can buy it. I live on a tiny island and I doubt if anyone here has it

I'll try anything to get rid of this asthma

I bought some Carlson's lemon flavored clo yesterday, so today is day 2 of taking it.

Anyone know how soon results can be expected? I know everyone is different but I'm sure hoping for a miracle

OT---Oh my! We were stationed in North Dakota 2X for a total of seven years and I never did learn to like lutefisk. It's not that it was bad, it just didn't taste like anything to me.

However, fried Walleye was a different thing all together.

Depends on the brand. I get Carlson's Lemon Flavor Cod Liver Oil and it tastes like lemon. Keep it in the fridge, as it goes rancid insanely fast out of the fridge.

Just a side note. If you take CLO and it tastes like rancid fish, it may indeed be rancid. I made a huge mistake of taking some (from a WalMart in the boonies). Who knows how long that bottle had been there or how it was shipped.

Anyway, I had a major bad time, but lived. Don't take bad fish oil.

End of rant.
