Wish Me Luck Please
Tomorrow I go to see if I can get my second cast off. Was supposed to two weeks ago, but it wasn't healed enough. It's been 11 weeks, and I'm so ready to be free!!!!!

Have a wonderful day walking regular again!!! I know you are eager to have the cast off. I know you will feel so much more energetic without dragging that cast around.

Thanks everyone. I did get the cast off today.
I still have a ways to go before I'm fully recovered, but I'm getting there. Still get a lot of swelling in both, and pain sometimes. The doctor says to expect that for the next 2 or 3 months. I'm anxious to weigh. I know I have lost weight, but I don't want to be disappointed. I have promised myself I won't let it get me down. I've been sticking to low carb for 11 weeks, but haven't been nearly as active as I usually am. (Which I admit is not that active ) So I guess I shouldn't expect too much yet. Not sure exactly what I weighed before I started either. Sure it was at least 330, maybe even more. Really hoping to be under 300, but don't think I'm quite there. Looking to start doing some kind of exercise. Not really steady or brave enough to do much walking outside. I'm terrified of falling again. I tend to be a klutz anyway. I've got some resistance bands and some small hand weights. Also have the Wii with the Wii Fit and several other of the sports games. It's not much but I have to start somewhere I guess. Anyway, thanks again for everyone's support. As I've said before, I don't post a lot but visit the site several times a day, so I feel like I know so many of you. Maybe I'll change my avatar tomorrow. Don't even want to look at those casts anymore. Have a great day everyone!

Yeah Angel and you will get there with the exercise. I started with my WiiFit, come join our Wii exercise thread if you like. I've outgrown it (can't afford some of the better exercise 'games') and haven't used it for months now except for weighing as I don't own a scale. As long as you are moving in the beginning it's all good. As your fitness improves, hopefully your coordination & balance will also improve (yoga is good for this) and your weight will go down. When this all combines it leads to more intense and longer periods of exercise.

Yeah Angel!!!! That's awesome news!!
I'm so proud of you for staying on plan all these weeks. Whatever weight you've lost will be a victory for you!! I'm so glad you can get back to more normal activities. Staying on plan and being able to move some will surely melt away more pounds. Hang in there - you're doing FANTASTIC!! ![]() ![]() |
