appetite is returning....HOWEVER...
this is where the fun begins: to make a game of portion control. the reward is to be satisfied with less, thus making the $$$ last longer. For example; last night I had the 2nd half of my house special soup (omitted the carrots and little corns of course) Later on that evening, i felt an urge to eat the small order of ribs (w/o bbq sauce on them) the urge kept on coming back. I had a 2 litre plastic bottle of ice cold nyc tap water (the best)by my side. U know what? By the time Jay Leno finished his lame monolog, I had forgotten all about the ribs. I slept the sleep of the dead, and woke up quite refreshed. I won the game. Tonight we play again. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

update....
i don't always win the portion control game. however, when i do lose, it is to the greater good of staying low carb at any cost. see my thread on the main board called "ate like a Klingon". we ought not be so rigid that we go hog wild when we fall short of our self imposed standards. the one thing about which it is imperative to be rigid, is staying on plan. I find that since I've been LCing, I can hardly eat a full portion. I'm often handing it over to DH and letting him finish it off. This morning DH made me breakfast - bacon and eggs. I could hardly eat it.

I find when evening comes, things can easily get thrown out the window. I'm constantly telling myself, if I can just make it till 11 (usually my bedtime). I know I'm not starving because I wake up in the am not hungry at all.

update: another win. Oct 28, 2009.
i won last evening. i had one meal which was a small order of shrimp and broccoli (no cornstarch, flour or sugar)and a large spare rib(10 pieces, no bbq sauce). i did not go back to raid the fridge. i did drink water and diet soda throughout the evening. The night before, I did not shut my mouth all evening long. Daytime, i am work, and the structured day works in my favor. I have a long weekend beginning this evening. during all 4 days, i am staying out of the house, during the day, rain or shine. Keeping busy, that is my solution. FF
