Small weight loss but hearing comments...hummm

Yesterday was a motivational day for me, I have only lost 11 to 12 pounds and on the weekend I have a pair of jeans that I love to wear (my comfy jeans) and my BF said where did those jeans come from they are awfully baggy on you... wow I thought...then I was at the shoe store and a customer of mine at work was there and said..wow you have lost alot of weight I was happy to hear it but really I dont think I have...hummm I guess being only 5'2" 10 pounds must really make a difference...never the less I keep thinking what will they say after 20 pounds gone...

It really helps hearing others say positive things!!!

I am 5'3" and when I dropped 20lbs that's when people noticed, then when I dropped another 20, they really noticed...

Keep it up

Other people tend to see differences in ourselves before we do. Isn't it such a great feeling to hear those things though? Congratulations and keep up the good work!

It's amazing when that happens! I had that happen to me the other day. A guy I had been seeing for a few weeks at one point saw me yesterday and said I've lost "a lot of weight", but truth is.. since he'd last seen me, I'd only lost like 5-7 lbs.

I've 'only' lost 10lbs, but I feel slimmer. I only started to measure myself on 9 Oct, and by yesterday, had already lost 2.5ins off my waist, and the odd half inches elsewhere. If I'd measured at the beginning, it would probably have been quite a bit more!

From reading the posts, here at LC Friends, it seems quite common for people to appear (and be) smaller than their weight loss indicates. Goody goody!

Oh, that's wonderful! Keep it up!

I think that smaller people get this alot. When you're 5'2", 10-12 lbs is ALOT! I'm 5'4" and it's almost a size and a half for me!

Thanks everyone! I am really trying hard to get to 155 by my birthday in 2 weeks....for some reason I am craving the evil Cold Stone ice cream and keep saying to myself...if I get to 155 I will treat myself to 1/2 a small cup on my birthday..I deserve it heck its the last Birthday in my 30's
Not to mention that day is also trick or treat here where I live....

nhrakat: My 'ideal' weight is the same as yours! My goal is to get to 154, and take it from there. After all, who are these people who decide what is a 'healthy weight'? And what is a 'healthy diet? Here on LCF, we know that they've got the diet wrong!

Go for the ice cream on your birthday, but don't spoil it by having a token portion - it's your birthday (and a special one!), so have a modest 'normal' portion. And be STRIIIIICT the day after!

I like your other goals - might adopt them... privately!

We have a Coldstone here, but for some reason I have never ever been. Probably for the fact I've heard it's kinda pricey and I'm not much of an ice cream person. I know, I know.
