I think that is a normal thought. I would guess (although I'm not sure) that there are many more people who have lost 200+ with the help of WLS than without. So like I said, I think that thought is quite normal and since I know WLS patients have to work their butts off to lose 200+ lbs as well, I really don't feel insulted by that.

Mine are in my gallery. I don't have any before-before photos, since those were long before LC anyway. There's about a 25-lb difference between my before and after, so it's not THAT much, but it's visible.

WOW!!! amazing before's & after's!!! so inspiring everyone

i'm still a work in progress so it's more like before & "now" lol! i'm currently 106lbs down. my before is right before giving birth to my 2nd son and i wasn't even at my heaviest, i got 10lbs bigger....i just never let anyone take any pics of me

my "now" was about a month and a few pounds ago. i'm slowly but surely getting there

Oops! I hit reply when I meant to hit preview. Sorry! The before photo was taken in November 2006 with my first grandchild. The second was taken with my second grandchild in Sept. 2009. I have lost 119 lbs. and am not ever going to look for them! I love the way I eat now. I want to second what Brandy said in an earlier post. I originally lost about 90 lbs. on lowcarb in 2003-2004. I looked at this as a diet and did not change my bad eating habits. I started adding in carbs and before I knew it I was 5 lbs. heavier than I had ever been. Now this is my lifestyle and I am never looking back!

I also wanted to add how many of you look awesome in your after photos! Good job!!!

Don't get me wrong, I would love for someone to think I had wls!!! Not only bc it really would emphasize how much weight I lost, but also bc I'd love to be able to say, "Nope! Did it all myself!"

This is me in 2007 a couple of months after I re-started Atkin's. I weighed 175. Who knows what my actual weight was when I started at the beginning of Nov. I didn't weigh myself until right before Christmas.

This is me a few months ago at 120.

wow this thread has made me so emotional I am so happy for all of you that have taken control of your health and transformed yourselves so dramatically that I do not even see the same people in the befores you all look so much happier also. great job everyone. VLC the result of out of control BS (type 2 diabetes). Hopefully will manage well in the future.
