This is a great idea. I'm going to do this this year.

Thank you for the sage advice Jenny. As always, you are a beacon of light on this board and a wealth of good information. You and Fawn keep me going!!! I will commit to staying on track this holiday season, knowing I'm not alone and that I need to keep my blood sugars in good control. Thanks!

Thanksgiving will be no problem, I'll eat turkey, deviled eggs, olives, salad, and make a Jody's pumpkin bake with some real whipped cream, pretty much the same thing for Christmas.

I just get weaker and weaker walking by everyone's home made treats that I'm bombarded with at the office every day, the baked treats the neighbors bring over (that I always cook for them in exchange every year). The first week, no problem, the 2nd week, I stop and look, the 3rd and 4th week....I will need some full blown will power to get me through. I am thinking I may just let myself have some sweet treats on Christmas day only. Would it be wierd to save one of each thing that tempts me through out the month for Christmas day? I think by the time the day gets here, I'll be thinking it all looks stale and old, and just toss all of it except a couple of things....I don't know, I'm still thinking about this.
Just imagine they came out of dirty kitchens! Just picture it - not hard to refrain now.
