Today is day 2 of restart for me also, decided it really didn't make any sense to ignore this WOE. I feel so much better, and I lose weight.. It's really a win-win situation.

Restarting too! Fell way off the wagon for the summer and ate like I was getting my last meal...all the time! Can't wait to wear all the new clothes that I bought and could wear in the spring but have since outgrown. Breads and potatoes do not feel as good as wearing a smaller size does! Good luck everyone!

I love that someone picked up this thread and decided to restart too!! Thanks guys, we can do this!

Day 3 here for me and I am doing fine, had a little bit of a headache this morning before I got breakfast in me but other than that I am a-ok.

I have decided not to weigh until the 30th - why? no clue other than I am out of town and am really trying to kick the daily(hourly when at home) scale habit I was in before I started eating garbage again recently.

I am thinking back hard on this last slip/slide and trying to figure out the why's and how's of it so I can plan and be better prepared.

This is day ?five? for me, starting back. Cravings have decided I'm not playing their game anymore and the worst of the Ketosis nausea seems to be over.

Yesterday was pretty bad for both though...

Susan: I only weigh at the end of each month - so I'll be weighing on the 30th too.

Louis: I like what you said about the cravings - I'm not playing their game anymore either .

Sherry: Doesn't it feel great? Keep going lady. You can do it.

Great expectations for tomorrow, group!! Stay focus.

Hey, glad to see someone else that only weighs once a month. My wife, who has now lost about 45lbs LCing, thinks I am crazy because I only weigh on the 1st of each month.

And to all, keep up the fight. WE can do it!! I am running into people that I haven't seen in a year or more and I am getting, "My goodness, have you lost a 100 lbs?" " Not yet, but not far away and check back with me in a couple of months." Haven't been under 300 lbs in 25 years. I can see 299 just up the road. Gotta keep on keeping on!

Hi Group!

I'm on to DAY 3 and I am encouraging myself to continue on .

Rob, for some reason, weighin once a month helps me stay focused b/c I have something to look for at the beginning. And, I am no longer stressin over the scale. I love it!! - Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on your awesome weight loss. Keep pressing on...

Have a GREAT DAY peeps!!

I'm so glad I seen this thread!

Today is day 2 for me.

This morning when I work up, it was the first thing that I thought - "Did I really do it - I made it thru day 1" !!

I know that our goal is to lose weight but what a feeling to accomplish the hurdle of restarting.

What is everyone eating today?

Lets stay together with this!

Day 3

Made it to day 3. I was tempted by chocolate cake. I didn't go there. I had to eat dinner three times last night to get the craving monster to sleep. But I made it. Hopefully the ketosis and lack of craving monster will set in soon.

Right there with you.

Although, it's a lot better now. I had been just stuffing myself with ZC meals at a drop of the hat to prevent cravings, because I don't yet trust my willingness to fight them. But today I cut my standard breakfast in half, and just started myself a small lunch.

No problem. Cool.

Good deal, Louis!

Does ZC stand for "Zero carbs"?

Yah, I'm not technically "Zero Carbs", but many of my meals are. Especially now, when I am craving carbs. I might have like, just a steak... or just a burger, or just a fish.

Sometimes I might throw in a few salad greens or a couple of broccoli florettes. Mostly for the psychological effect. Minuscule carbs.

Maybe RTTBOC, "Really Teeny Tiny Bit Of Carbs.

I'm doing the same thing and it really helps with the cravings.

Whatever works, I guess, right? (lol).

So far so good! Yay! for you too BTW!

I had been thinking it's my sixth day back on plan, but since I am notorious for being WAY off on things like that I checked, and I signed up here on the 17th, which makes it like 13 days. What a space head I am!

Either way, the cravings are much less, even with the horrendous things happening in my real life. No real weight loss, but that's not been my goal for this period. My moods are starting to stabilize a little, probably as much as they will without serious medication and long term in-patient psychiatric care, so that's all good. And I've even inspired a couple of my friends to go-on or return-to LC ways.

So yesterday, total of four normal sized, VLC meals. Had a late night sausage and egg snack that turned into a meal. Oddly, even though I feel like I am slamming down the calories, Fitday shows me as way under. My BMR is 3500ish and my meals, even with over-estimating, never make it above 3000. But I'm starting to feel satisfied with even smaller meals. Yesterday was 2268. Nothing wrong with that, I guess, unless I start showing symptoms like lethargy or depression.

I think I will stop by WalMart and get some ketostix though. I still worry that my coffee is knocking me out of ketosis.

Hope everyone else is well this morning.
