LOVE all these answers!!! I was thinking amputation too.
A friend is sending me the info. It has to be paid for and down loaded.
I can't believe no one has posted it anywhere on the net yet. It probably is a colon cleanse kind of diet. I'll post it when I get it.

Oh my Gosh. I remember this diet from high school! If this is it...what a rip off! Yuck.

Could anyone really ever loose 18 pounds in four days? Maybe the ones on the Biggest Loser? I'll stick with Atkins.

I fell for this.... Its the worst written ebook I have ever seen... It has some lame ass disclaimer about sharing the book without paying for it... it was $35 I think...total waste of money... If you want the diet I can give it to you ...don't pay for it...

OMG, you get to eat regular sugar-loaded Vanilla Ice Cream, but have to use artificial sweetener in your coffee???....*LOL*

If you remove the Saltine crackers, the Carrots, the Bananas, the Grapefruits, the Toast, the Apples, the Melons & the Vanilla Ice Cream, it's a fairly LC plan......*ROFL*

SOOOOOO funny!!!

Agree!! and not that I'm endorsing it ,...but I do know someone ( a guy) who did it and lost something like 14.5...so yeah i guess its doable, plus guys tend to lose faster anyways...........

Nonetheless, not a healthy thing and at best..only a temp quick fix....

You have to ask what did they lose?

I "lost" 4 lbs in 2 days when I got the flu last week. I wasn't weight.

You can lose muscle mass if you stop eating protein, water if you cut out carbs low enough to burn up glycogen stores (which are not fat and come back after you eat more normally), and if you don't eat anything for a few days, you "lose" the weight of food that is usually in your intestines.

If you want to lose FAT fast, you get one, ONE, golden opportunity to do that the first couple weeks you do your very first low carb diet.

After that, the body wises up and you will lose at the usual .5-2 lbs a week rate, depending largely on how much weight you have to lose. The more you need to lose, the faster you will lose, but as you approach goal it slows.

I've seen this so many times. I have a friend who keeps trying to go off LC and then jump back on, hoping for that first rush again. He's near his healthy weight, for a 45 year old man, but he wants to be thinner and thinks he can lose by doing Atkins induction over and over.

Your body is smarter than that. If you don't hurt it with extreme diets, it's most likely to gradually move towards your healthy weight and settle there. That may not be your Goal weight, but it's a healthy weight.

Me = Far from Goal weight or Healthy weight.

I will be starting the 18 in 4 diet tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes. I think from the food list, it's not that extreme. It's a lot healthier than going through McDonald's everyday, which I personally know several people who do just that.
It's all fresh food, water, tea & coffee. How could be be bad??
I'll post my stats everyday right here and by the end of the 4 days, I'll see if it's worth going for another 4. We'll see...

See you tomorrow,
Ruby

I just completed 4 cheat free days on this diet. After 10 days cheat free of Atkins induction and only a loss of 4 pounds, I did the 18in4 and lost 9 pounds.

I knew going into it that 18 was absurd, but Im content with 9. Though I'll never do it again. Its really horrible, the food choices. Yuck. Id rather a protein smoothie for breakfast and chicken and greens lunch and dinner and lose 2 pounds a week, rather than these yucky, dry boring foods for 4 days.

But hey, 9 lbs is 9lbs. I'll take it!

Ooh I tried that years ago...I LOATHE beets (used to be beets instead of carrots) I had to blend them up and drink them down as fast as I could-because you know it all works on a "chemical reaction" I did lose like 7 lbs in 3 days, though. Too bad I put back on 10 the next day....
