Way too much time on my hands!
|
well it happens to Ferenghi as well as HEWMONS
After 3 straight weight losses totalling 12 lbs, I faced the music today, and the music was in a very minor key, cause i put it all back except for a fraction of a lb. well, i can feel sorry for myself, or I can dust myself off and begin again. I will do the latter. May the divine Augustus, whose birthday it is today, assist me (and anyone else in the same pickle) in this endeavor. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

You will be fine--you are a survivor and a Winner .. you will Overcome!!!
can you tell I'm in football mode?.. it actually inspires me to stay strong, no temptations will overcome me ... I AM FOOTBALL Fan (we lost last week so i'm not mentioning Aaron...or rotten offensive line protection..oh i could go on forever with team mis-steps) If I'm having trouble getting back on track after a mis-step or three... I look at how Lombardi got his players in line to *win* the battle of the day ..every day You can lose 12 pounds in your sleep - just dream of running up and down the long football field of life

Ugh I am right there with you! I had mono for a month, which actually made me waste away (well, I wish....but I did lose almost 15 lbs with it). But then I went to Greece, aka Paradise, for 2 weeks to recover and I just got back and am absolutely terrified to weigh!!! I bet I put back on 20!!!
But I am getting back on track so I'm going to hold of on the scale until maybe next friday. Or maybe longer... Good Luck! Really, when I think about it, who cares about a dozen lbs? I mean, if we are aware of it and catch ourselves, I can live with taking longer to get to goal. My real goal would probably be to lose the weight AND never let a temporary gain take me down.

that is most interesting...
when i went to Greece, I ate when i was hungry. I lost oodles of weight (i was there in the summer of 19...i was young. everytime I go away, i lose weight. i put it back when i come home. The reason is that i go away to have a good time. For some reason, food ceases to be a raison d'etre (that's French, not Ferenghi btw). If only i could keep that mindset here. In any event don't beat yourself up. Let us begin anew. I do hope u had a wonderful time in Greece. I have very warm feelings for the country, and the people. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I actually lost weight the last time I went to Greece too. I guess the walking helps, and it's a lot of whole foods and not much packaged stuff (I am a big believer in the preservative, chemical, etc packed junk is horrible for us). But now, low carbing, I just assume that retaining water from the bread and some sugar would pack on the pounds.
But I guess I didn't do as much damage as I thought bc after 3 days of barely eating (stupid mouth ulcer) I gave in and weighed. I'm exactly what I was when I left. Very weird. Maybe we should move to Greece? |
