You are SO challenged on that!! The best crabs in the world are right here in the Pacific Northwest. Fresh Dungeness crabs! Huge, coral-colored, with the most succulent craw meat you ever tasted....even the meat inside tastes soooo good.

When I was little we used to fish for them at the coast, before all the regulations. All you'd do is put some fish heads in a crab trap and toss it in the bay. Ten minutes later you'd pull out a bin of huge crabs. With some mussels chipped off the rocks you had a great meal....

Mmmmm, you cannot beat Dungeness crabs, IMHO! I agree with RoS!

Going to a "clam bake" tonight at one of our fave restaurants - clams, crab, mussels, sausage, corn on the cob. Should be excellent!

Yum, a clam bake. It never occurred to me to do one at home, lc style...does anyone have any ideas or recipes?

I've done crab boils in the past, when you just toss the crabs in a pot of boiling water with some old bay added. I'm thinking maybe cooking other seafood and veggies the same way??

Jealous! Recently, I had not had crab in so long, I asked my mother to buy some Maryland crabs before I moved to Vegas...I enjoyed it so much, but I developed an allergy to it...hives and puking. I am so bummed...this is my first food allergy! I will live vicariously through you! Enjoy...

OMG - hope you feel better - I heard those allergies are awful - I have a friend who cannot eat any shell fish! Take care of yourself!
