My W-M STILL carries Joseph's LC pita bread!

The W-M closest to my home is about to remodel after the holidays and have started making some preps for this. As a result, they have stopped carrying several things I LOVE. Anyway, the Joseph's LC flax and whole wheat pitas used to be carried in the deli, but they disappeared a few weeks ago. Yesterday, I found them in the hispanic foods with the tortillas.

Just an FYI. I think I saw someone else complain about not being able to find them at W-M anymore. May want to check next to the salsa!

all the stuff that my W M carried in front of the deli section has been moved to the "bread" section. They said the shelves in front of the deli look bad.

all of the wally worlds around here have changed their store layouts (and i'm one that does NOT like the change)...course i'm also trying not to shop at wm much anymore as they are the epitomy of evil! but that's a whole other story... lol

course i didn't think to look in the bread aisle (yeah - i'm a genius! hehe) will do that next time i'm there.

I hope they haven't gotten rid of them where I'm at, I am not eating them at the moment but do like having the option. I know the Land O' Lakes sugar free whipped cream and Hoods Calorie Countdown milk are already gone from the two stores we go to

Maybe we better hit Walmart and stock up - I wonder how long you can freeze them?

I found them on a trip to my local Super Walmart tonight. I asked the assistant manager, and he said that they're going to be carrying them on a continuous basis. And the new Super Walmart by my job, which is 10 minutes away, just started carrying the Lavash bread. If only I could convince them to carry the Hood Calorie Countdown milk again.

I buy Joseph's Middle East Bakery Low Carb Pita Bread here at Netrition. I'm wheelchair bound it makes it more convenient to purchase from Netrition plus it helps support our wonderful Low Carb Friends site.

I got mad at Walmart for ditching the Hood Calorie Countdown Milk. I haven't shopped there too much since. I took my business to Kroger.

Tarheel Man, where are you located? I'm in the RTP area and the bread seems to seel out fast. I found the last 2 last week in the deli/bakery. The week before I found one with the mexican wraps and didn't know if someone left it there or what.

Anyway, welcome

Thanks! I'm in North Raleigh, off Glenwood Avenue. I used to get my LC stuff at the Super Walmart in Brier Creek, but they lost me when they 86'd the Hood Calorie Countdown Milk and then the LC pita bread. Anyway, my wife still goes there to do our shopping, but if I need something in a pinch, I'll go to the new one on Hwy 54 right off of 540. I can walk to my job from there if I want. I just saw the Joseph's lavash bread in there the other day, so I'll have to check to see if the LC pitas will be making an appearance there.

I found the bread in the new one off Miami Blvd/ Chapel Hill Rd. in Morrisville, I think that's the one you are referring to. I like the store and location better than Brier Creek. Hope they continue carrying these low carb items.

I got hooked on Russell Stover SF cereal bars which SWM's carried at a lower price than on-line, andthey stopped carrying them.
