Chocolate Mint Water

Oh YUM!!! This is Excellent! It tastes so sinfully good. O carb.

This is what the manufacture says:

We combine pure water, cocoa essence, and real mint

to get this rich, guilt-free treat. The luxurious taste of real

chocolate fills your mouth while the real mint cools from head to toe.

It's refreshingly decadent.

Ingredients: purified water, mint, cocoa essence.

I just started adding mint extract to my water - I think it is quite refreshing - Yes, I am now actually drinking water! Not exclusively, but it is water nonetheless.

I am not a huge chocolate fan, but for a change and now that I am actually drinking something mint flavored, the chocolate might be a nice change.

The mint flavored water is Metro Mint - I did a search and there is a coupon on their site...

I love the Metro Mint waters!! Such a yummy treat. The chocolate/mint and the cherry/mint are my two favorites.

I get mine at Central Market (Texas).

They'll do anything to charge ridiculous prices for water, won't they?

I'd think various extracts and a Brita filter would work quite well.

I'm using mint extract in my water right now - my little $3 bottle of extract should last just about forever - I transferred it to a dropper bottle and I use a drop for my 44oz big gulp cup of water.

Don't think chocolate extract tastes much like chocolate so I am going to look around for cocoa essesence, which is what they say they use in the metro mint.

I thought I wouldn't like mint in water much since I had always kind of likened minty drinks to drinking mouthwash, but I really am enjoying it.

Since it is a little "pricey" I save it for the cooler on road trips. It is a nice pick me up for long drives. All the Metromint flavors are pretty good.

I like to drink some before we get to our destination. If I haven't had a chance to brush my teeth before we get there, it gives me nice minty breath.

Wonder what cocoa essence is exactly??

I have some cacao nibs I will try soaking in water to see if they will flavor it. Then just mash up a mint leaf and there ya go.

I just picked up a bottle of peppermint extract at the grocery store. You know, in the baking aisle...

looking for chocolate something - I don't think the chocolate extract is going to cut it, but if worse comes to worse, I will try it..

Just checked, although they don't have chocolate mint, there are chocolate drops at capellaflavordrops. I was thinking they were a little pricey, but my mint extract was 3-4 dollars for a bottle, I think I might just go ahead and buy one of the chocolate ones. I will add my own mint.

make your own chocolate water. Just get dark choclate powder and brew it in an old fashion percolator coffee pot. Mr Coffee machines are out as the cocoa cloggs the filters.
then you can flavor your cup any way you want add mint leaves or extract to the pot before perking, add red pepper for mexican choclate water. You can sweeten it if you need to too with some of your daily alottment of whatever sweetner you prefer added to your cup. You can save any left over chocolate water in your frid or freeze in ice cube trays and add to hot coffee for a cold choclate coffee drink.

ETA I have no idea if a french press will work as we don't have one. But if you don't perk it you get the grit feel of the cocoa fiber in your drink too.

This sounded so good that I went in and got a fresh mug of water and added some chocolate flavored stevia drops and some peppermint stevia drops! Delicious!
