20-something-year-olds!

I'm looking for people in their 20s!

I'm not at all trying to discriminate against certain ages but I would love to hear about experiences that people in their 20s are having. I was watching The Biggest Loser last night, and Tara was talking about how the "20s" are supposed to be the best years of one's life..... I'm not really feelin' it!

I was thinking if there were a lot of people looking to find that relatability of trying to follow a LC lifestyle while being younger/single/dating/in school etc., I'd be interested in starting a group or challenge.

Having drifted a bit from LCF, I can remember how much it used to help me. I guess I'm hoping that by regaining that relatability factor, it will bring me back here more often.

That's all! I hope I haven't offended anyone!

It also really struck a chord with me, what Tara said.

I'm a very old, lame 25-year-old : )

I'm married and I have a dorky computer job and I like food, and video games, and most recently bird-watching. Sometimes I feel like I should be going into a nursing home soon.

Thank you for this, I think this is a great thread; I learn and become inspired from everyone on this board young and old... but there are things that we specifically may do/feel/learn/think that are a bit specific to our age group. Ya know?

I can definitely relate in that I feel I'm at an age where I'm still trying to figure things out - who I am and what's really important to me, and how to get what I want in life to be happy.

ive low carbed for teh most part of 3 years. met my now husband and travelled alot while low carbing. its been challenging at times. but have been really adventurous in tons of new vegetables and getting my husband to eat healthier. i haev also found my love of cooking!!!
i work full time and it can be challenging to lc, but i work about 5 minutes from home so i can usually go home for lunch or be up enough in the morning to make a lunch. .

Hi there,
Another 20 something here as well, 26 turning 27 in 5 weeks
My 20's haven't been the best years of my life but i have 3 years left of them and once i get this weight off and feel like i'm living again i am going to make the last 3 so good that i don't care about the other 7.
My Mum says that her 50's have been the best years of her life so far so i think it's different for everyone.
i know a lot of my friends have struggled through their 20's and i think the best years are still to come

I'm 36 this month but like everyone who's older than 29 I've been in my 20's. The 30's have been way more fun! Don't believe anyone who says "x" age is the best. Every new decade can be what you make of it and you'll always have more to look forward to that way.

I feel the same way. I've been out of school for awhile, but I feel kind of aimless and I'd like to find something to do that has more direction - just don't know what direction I want to head in yet.

And to the person who wants to know how to make friends - if you find out, let me know! lol

I'm in my mid 20s and I just had the mindset it's either now or never because weight loss gets harder as you get older and the longer you are overweight. I actually thought it was easiest to lose weight at this age because I am in grad school and don't have to take care of a household and children and all the other grownup responsibilities. It is worth it to really buckle down and focus on weightloss and then you get to enjoy your hard work.

Hi! I'm Michelle and I am 24 years old. I just started LCing in January and I think it's awesome

As far as the magical 20s is concerned, I have to say that I'm not impressed so far. I think my best years are yet to come. I still find myself wondering what I'm doing wrong to not be having such a great time when everyone else is saying that college and their 20s was so awesome. I went to college...and it was a lot of hard work. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm not a party animal? I have no idea. But, yeah, I definitely feel you.

Oh! I need to watch TBL from last night. No spoilers!

No longer 20, but started LC when I was in my twenties and LC has been the best. I think it really helps you look longer. Since LC...I get carded everywhere! Such a great feeling. Plus...my 12 year old steals my clothes now AND her friends always think I am her older sister. Drives my daughter crazy...but a nice feeling none the least. Its all because of LC, no doubt.
