It's great to see you all !!

CTI grad-- it was nice to read your story and how successful you have been. Congrats! Your stats are amazing and you probably have amazing advice to give. The link to the guys thread didn't work for me... but then again, I'm not a guy! I just wanted to see what was going on there haha.

batlou-- that was very sweet & very true advice.

Haley-- congrats on graduating! I sent you a PM about where I live

To everyone else-- did you want me to start another thread or should we just keep posting here?

Hey all

I'm a 25 year old guy. I'm a sophomore in college here in Wisconsin. There are all these 18 year old kids around me at school, and at times I feel like old man river. But as the weight is coming off, I'm starting to enjoy life again. I'm a practicing Martial Artist. I'm a college kid. I'm just enough of a nerd to have a bit of fun.

I think I know how the myth of the 20's being the best years of your life got started. So many people are naturally thin and healthy through their 20's. Then their junk diet catches up with them when they get a career or kids. They stop exercising, stop playing games, stop having fun. They link it all to the 20's being some magical age where everything was great. And the best part of that myth is that there is no way to become 20 again, so they don't have to try to improve their lives. They can live secure in the knowledge that they had a good life, but it's over now. Now they just have to fade away.

Well, to hell with that. I'm going to work hard to make the 20's great. Then I'm going to keep working hard to make everyday great.

love the thread
Cheers,

Great attitude! I am making the most out of what is left of my 20's as well. You only live once!

Don't feel old for being in college at 25.
I am 29 and returned back to school last year to pursue a different path. This is my 2nd time doing the college thing and I have to say I am enjoying it a lot more. I feel wiser and not as clueless. LOL.

Not sure? I was just thinking if we could move somewhere too, perhaps with a smaller group who would post more often/daily just for support etc. Or a challenge to make the 20s the best years of our lives

Hey SSKennedy, I'm on my own personal challenge: Day 9 of No Diet Soda. I'm trying to have no diet soda for at least 30 days. First few days were a little tough, but I'm not missing it now. TOM is here and I'm way less bloated too!

Another 20 something. I just turned 24 on May 3rd & am feeling old I wish I was 22 again that was an awesome year. Hmmm about me i'm an Opera singer/student & makeup artist in NYC. I must reach goal by at least age 26 so I need to start hauling ass. I hope 24 is a great year for me I need a great year soon & can't wait to see myself when I reach goal.

lol yes sometimes it's cool. Right now it's very very dull. The economy has really affected makeup jobs so i'm not really working right now. As for my Opera singing that's always great I just really want to lose all the weight to really start launching my career. Looks are very important in the field unfortunatly.

Hi, I just turned 21 a few months ago and so far my 20's are a HUGE learning experience. I have learned alot about myself and realized all the important things I need to do for myself.( physically and mentally) anyways I'm just trying to take life day by day and appreciate what I have and work with what I got. I hope to have a long meaningful life ahead of me =]

I turn 40 this year. I spent all of my 20's and most of my 30's over 300 lbs. I could sit around regretting that, but I'd rather enjoy what I have now. So far, the past year has been the best of my life. YMMV.

Yes, this is so true. It's harder than you think making friends that you didn't already meet through mutual friends or that you know from work.

About me....I just turned 27. I have a 4yr old son that I had with my BF who I've been with for almost 10 years. The 20's have been really hard for me since I spent most of it hating my body. I was stick thin all my life until I got with the BF then I put on the relationship weight. Right before I got pregnant with my son I lost just about all of the weight doing Atkins. I went buck wild when I was pregnant and ate everything I craved. I have since spent the last 4 years starting and stopping the low carb diet. It's a miracle that it still works when I do it.

I am actually really looking forward to my 30's it will be a decade of accomplishments, I hope!

I had tough times in my 20s. Yes they were fun but filled with so much self doubt for me.

I'm in my 40's now and have to say this is where it's at!!! Never in so long have I had such an active social life and dating life.

I'm loving my 40's so far!
