Its Sunday, who' working out today

Good morning everyone!
So who's working out today?

I'm going to run 4 miles on the treadmill, still to chilly to run outside. It 35 degree outside but the wind is blowing, so it will probably feel more like 20 some degrees.

Have a good workout and burn those pounds off.

Easing back in after sprints Friday, stretching only on Saturday. Today was two 4-minute tabata rounds of stretching and bodyweight, concentrating on upper body until my knees recover from the sprints.

Going to try and do a recovery run on this bum foot of mine. Its nice out (not exactly warm though) so I am too tempted to get outside. I am trying out some new things to try and figure out exactly what is causing my foot pain. Today is tape - this will test the theory that the shoe may be causing the pain.

Im tried today, and just feeling plain lazy. Not to mention the weather here in Indiana this afternnon is rainy and gloomy. I just want to lay on my couch and watch Hallmark movies al day.....BUT im making myself head to the gym right now for at least 30 minutes on the elliptical. Once im there, I may be motivated to do more cardio, but at least ill be getting 30 minutes in today.

When I first started running, I had a couple of situations where my foot was killing me, I kept running on it thinking it would get better. I finally had to take a few days off, but eventually it just worked it self out.
Make sure you have proper running shoes. My husband and I went to this specialty store for running shoes and they fit us, made us run on their treadmill to see how we looked when we were running. It was pretty cool, my shoes were like $80 or $90, but now that I know what kind to order now, I will probably be able to get them cheaper.

I am hoping that it is tired or something from increasing my mileage and working harder for my upcoming half marathon.

I do have good running shoes - Asics 1140-gels - but I am starting to wonder if they are causing my pain. They were great for the first few weeks - then I started having foot pain. The pain is on the top of my foot right where the laces tie up. I am just wondering if there is something about the placement of the shoe or something like that is having an effect.
I did a recovery run today and taped up my foot for a buffer from the shoe. It felt pretty good running and doesnt seem to hurt as much post-run.
If it does seem to be my shoes, I am going to go to my local running store and see what they think would be good for me.

I'm going to do a little trial and error with different "remedies" and see if anything works. I'm just not having classic stress fracture symptoms, so I still have hope.

Thanks for the suggestions, Vikki!

I decided that since getting to the gym seems to be the hardest part for me, that I'd do cardio and weights on the same day and only have to drag myself 3x a week, rather than alternating and having to get myself there 6x a week (which never actually happens)

So I did weights (full body) and the treadmill (intervals of 3.5 mph and 6.5 mph)
