**List The Foods That Caused You To Be FAT!**

I just got this idea from Klingon ~ list the foods that got you overweight ~ that got you to the darkside!

Mine:

Pizza
Pizza
Pizza
Roundtable Pizza
Baskin N Robbins
Fudge
anything chocolate with milk
Basically whatever I wanted when I wanted it

And ~

I eat when I am happy ~ not when I am sad! I am not an emotional eater at all ~

Interesting! Let's see...

Anything and everything made by hostess
Chex mix, all varieties
Theater popcorn
Mrs Fields (I always did the buy 3 get 1 free! Yuck!)
Nachos
Potato chips
Ice cream
Candy of all types

As you can see, my problem was definitely snacks and treats...!

garlic bread spaghetti sandwiches (you know, leftover spaghetti piled between two slices of garlic bread...)

ETA: the spaghetti sandwiches are eaten cold and are drunk food. Which probably means that whiskey has something to do with being fat too.

What made me fat in the first time in my life (19 years old) was working at my uncles BBQ place!! There was sugary BBQ sauce, sugar beans, sugary lemonade, most things fried, strawberry shortcake, all kinds of pie and sandwiches!!

even too much of a good thing can cause weight gain

I have a problem with portion control and could probably get into competitive eating ...

Anyway, if I could have controlled portion size, I may have been able to still eat things like:
breads, cakes, corn, rice, potatoes, bagels, pizza, pasta, etc

I have found I can still gain weight even if I stick to lc- by just over eating good things, like: nuts, cheese, too large portions of protein

WOE: the foods i love!! :P
Start Date: Feb 2009
It's interesting because I never ate pizza, burgers, popcorn, or any greasy type food. I always ate salads and chicken breasts and low-fat meal type stuff....

then I'd eat:

-candy (especially swedish fish, sour patch kids, cow tales, laffy taffy, hot tamales, and pb cups)
-frosting (yes I ate this straight from the tub)
-dried fruit (sugar covered mango, pineapple and papaya were the main types I loved)
-once a month a slice of cake
-cereal (in portions way larger than I needed)
-lots of yogurt and cottage cheese (it was mostly portion size that was off here as opposed to the actual food being bad)

None on their own caused me to gain weight, but in conjunction with moderate fat and high protein, the extra carbs just went straight to fat. Funny thing is, most of them read like a nutritionist's dream:

Skim milk (used to be my pre- and post-workout drink)
100% Whole wheat bread
Whole wheat pasta
Brown rice
Basmati rice
Steel cut oatmeal
Fiber-one bars
Unsweetened Cheerios
Pineapple (with my cottage cheese)
French dressing (on my salads)
Polaner All-Fruit jam
Pizza (a few slices every couple of weeks)
Pancakes (a short stack about once a month)
Chinese vegetable fried rice
Chinese vegetable lo-mein noodles
Orange juice

I'd say those account for about 90% of what I've given up entirely, with great results.

How about what I eat MORE of now?

Broccoli
Cauliflower
Flax meal cereal
Egg creams
Veggie Omelets
Spinach and Romaine salads with HB eggs
Blue cheese dressing
Myoplex Carb Control protein shakes (post-workout)
Mozzarella cheese sticks
Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime Veggie Burgers (2g net carbs each)

All in all, not a bad trade off. I can live with this, particularly since I'm just hardly ever hungry anymore. I eat for pre-workout fuel, post-workout building blocks, taste, and variety, not because I'm starving 3 times a day and at least hungry most of the rest of the time.

Truthfully, I don;t see the point of a thread like this. We all know what got us to where we are, no need to keep thinking about it and re-living it. Why keep dwelling on these foods?

I worry that reading this list will cause someone to get cravings for these foods.
