You could go with stevia. I use it, but it's an acquired taste.
I like either xyilitol or erythritol though. It seems consistently sweet to me. |

Maybe Truvia. Made with Erythritol 3g per serving.

I can't get used to the stevia taste. Maybe I'm trying the wrong stuff. Is the liquid stevia also tend to bitter?
I believe I need to get off the AS train too, but right now...not ready. |

I'm probably going to give stevia a try. Or maybe just heavy whipping cream, or I will just learn to drink it black. That seems the easiest huh!

But if you're looking for something else-Stevia is always a good choice. But put too much in-and it will get bitter in a hurry. Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Breeze goes great in coffee, too. (No AS in that) Dyan |

Maybe try cutting down to half what you have now for a while and then half that until you eventually cut it out altogether. That might be easier than going cold turkey from sweetened to unsweetened.

Blech. I'd rather give up coffee than drink it black. I depend on my sweetened morning tea. Again, I'd rather drink plain water than unsweetened tea.
And I need to know that, if I should desire it, a SF dessert is a possibility. You're going to have to pry my Splenda out of my cold dead hands. |

I drink my coffee black...I used to love splenda in it, but I slowly cut down to none. Flavored coffee is another option, as well as putting cream in.

And coconut oil works GREAT in coffee! I use that once in awhile in my coffee. Gives it a sweet, nutty taste. Perhaps you could try coffee with CO in it?

I already put 1tblsp of co on my coffee. I think I will try the flavored coffee, maybe I won't miss the splenda if it is flavored. Any recs for some good flavored coffee?

Try the Sweetleaf Plus stevia powder (if you haven't already.) I have tried every brand and never thought I would EVER be able to use stevia until I tried this. I wouldn't touch any other brand but this stuff is not bad at all. Not as sweet as Splenda but no bitterness or nasty taste like the rest. I have some of the liquid Sweetleaf in flavors and I don't like it as much. It's not bad but it's not great to me.

I really like stevia. We buy the 1-pound size NOW brand of the 100% stevia extract. Just a tiny bit of that goes a long way (such that we're 2 years and counting on this 1-pound bottle!) When I first started using stevia I noticed a bitter aftertaste but I can't even detect it now. I guess I'm used to it.

Have you tried a coffee press? DH and I love ours, it makes coffee nice and strong without the bitter, so it tastes really good black. Sometimes I mix it 1/2 with flavored coffee and some cream.

I was raised on unsweetened black coffee, and unsweetened tea, so I really can't understand the big fuss.
