How many cups of veggies do you eat per day?

I decided to just measure out all my veggies yesterday to see how many cups I really consume in a day. Wow. I eat around 8 cups of veggies per day. I NEVER EVER ate that many before low carb! And people think low carb is unhealthy???!!??? What are they talking about?!?!?!

I eat around 6 to 8 cups of vegetable per day as well.

I don't think I ate this many when I was a vegetarian!

Wow. I eat around 8 cups of veggies per day.

8 cups of vegetables is rather unusual in my experience. That's 16 servings of vegetables.

There are people on WW who eat healthy and people on WW who eat their points in desserts.
There are apparently people on LC who eat 16 servings of vegetables and people who eat 2 or less.

The most successful in-real-life low carber I knew lost his 200 pounds with the following motto;
"Meat I can eat; Plant I can't." ..... Point being people are individuals regardless of plan.

it varies. Maybe a cup, maybe 4. It depends on the day.

Like yesterday, it was little. Breakfast was eggs and bacon, Lunch was chili with beans, and dinner was taco meat, cheese, salsa and some tomatoes onions and avocado added for flavor. But today there will be salad at lunch and veggies with dinner. I don't go overboard with it though. Fat and protein are where it's at!

Before cooking to get a true measurement, as they shrink after cooking.

I need to measure, but I am losing without measuring, so I know induction I stick to the same things, so I have no worries..........

I am moving into OWL tomorrow or Friday, mayb wait until Monday as I will go grocery shopping over the weekend and can add in other foods such as more veggies and a few berries.

I'm eating way more spinach salads than I ever have (usually 1 a day), and in general I'm eating more veggies than I ever have. Even so, I could be better.

Regardless, this is the healthiest way that I have ever eaten in my life. I am so grateful to have found this WOE!

3-4 cups. I'm aiming for that everyday now as I figure out my OWL.

Since I can't have a lot of dairy or nuts, I also have about 1/2 cup of berries everyday.

So the question is for all you 6-to-8 cup people,
HOW do you get 6-8 servings in a day?

Show me the magic of your ways please.

I'm not hungry for much of anything except dairy for the last few days. Urgggghhhhh.

Well today was pretty typical veggie wise for me

I had a big salad with romaine, mesquite grilled red peppers, and onion for lunch and one again at dinner. I also had mashed cauliflower with some parmesan cheese, yum. I am estimating about 8 cups total for the day.

It varies. Minimum of a cup, max maybe three-four cups. I eat more veggies when low carbing than I ever did on any other eating plan. And it cracks me up when I see my WW friend using up her points with junk food telling me how "unhealthy" low carb is. I've been doing lowcarb in one version or another for eight years and my health is excellent, my cholesterol and blood pressure are lower than when I was ten years younger.

Vanja -

I eat salads with protein for lunch and often roasted veggies with protein for dinner. For additional veggies add some into an omlette or scrambled eggs? Smoothies (as fawn says) are also a good way to get them. Also, snacking on veggies can help? Celery sticks, cucumber pieces with cream cheese or cherry tomatoes anyone?

Sometimes I fry cabbage/green peppers/onions in bacon grease. This alone gives me about 4 cups of veggies. And of course, I usually might have a huge salad during the day, too. I am a veggie person and love veggies! That's probably why I eat so many of them. And of course, I always make sure to still pair them with a fat and protein.
