Tell me....HEALTH ISSUES that are gone or controlled by low carb

Was just sitting here wondering how many of you/us have health issues that have been eliminated or at least controlled by low carb. Not something the general public seems to talk about when you mention low carb,they always say how bad it is...yada yada..... Come on ladies and gentlemen.....I need all the motivation I can get to do this...and health is really the biggest one. I guess it is getting passed the first 2 weeks......

I can't count the number of people who have had diabetes meds reduced or eliminated. That is phenomenal even if there were no other benefits. But there are so many more health successes beyond this!

It has made a world of difference -- Funny enough, it was MY FAMILY who pointed this out to me. In my final year of highschool I was really sick with rashes, bleading under my skin, constant digestion issues, tiredness, etc. My doctor tested for tonnes of things (Lymes Disease, Leukemia, etc.) but they couldn`t figure out what was wrong...

Since doing low carb the bleeding has gone away and I discovered several food allergies, etc. I still get a little muscle pain from time to time (existing condition) but it`s controlled ... when I eat on plan i hardly ever notice it anymore .. they are just little aches now... but before I was to the point where I didn`t want to do very much at all...)

No more diabetes medicine. I have an inherited thing called Haileys-haileys. It's a skin thing, low-carb REALLY keeps it under CONTROL!!! It can be very annoying, irritating, and PAINFUL!!!
I love this woe!!

GERD = gone

BP = 96/60, resting heartrate 60 - my doc says my heart will go on forever!

RARELY ever sick, hardly even a sniffle.

Seasonal allergies MUCH better than they used to be.

Stamina and strength through the roof.

And I will be 55 tomorrow - ask most people my age about what ails them and you'll get a litany of complaints. Not from THIS low-carber, Baby!

I haven't been sick since I went LC (almost 2 years), but I do take a sick day here and there in appreciate of my fortunate health.

As long as I stick with whole LC foods--no sugar swings or gas!

Does this count? I'm not miserably hungry all the time anymore since I'm doing low carb instead of low calorie. I feel so much better and I'm not thinking about food all the time!

Hypoglycemia is under control. I no longer feel ravenous or get the shakes if I go a few hours without eating like I used to. Moods are stable now.

Was recently diagnosed with a hypothyroid (going to the endo friday) but have still lost 15lbs on Atkins....pretty darn good for a slow metabolism if I do say so myself
