Help/Advice
Ok guys here's my situation/story, hopefully this wont take up too much of your time, anyways I had always been able to eat whatever I want and never gain weight, but summer before going into College I gained some weight around the ole midsection, its not too bad more a paunch than beer gut, but I'm worried it will get bigger, this summer going into my junior year of college I finally did something about it and did the body for life program to try and shed it to get back to having a flat stomach, however I did the 12 weeks, but didnt get hte results I wanted, I;m more concered about getting lean, than adding muscle. Anyways now I'm back at school, and I think atkins will help me achieve the results I want, but I'm having trouble getting started and sticking ot getting back to being healthy, because I went back to eating whatever and drinking(beer). I have tried induction twice so far but only lasted a few days before giving into temptation, I really have a problem with my sweet tooth, also its more a psychological thing than physical need, the other problem is it's a lot harder to not drink at school, when everyone basically does and they arent very supportive of me not drinking, anyway if anyone can give me some advice that would be great, I know I can do it but some advice would help me.
Thanks alot! |

the beginning is the hardest. If you can make it through day five it is all so much easier!
and vodka has no carbs. |

haha thanks, but I want to get away from the whole drinking thing in general, it was easier when I just used to smoke weed, ha but I don't even like to that anymore.

Are you trying to stop drinking all together as part of this new Way of Eating? If your only motivation for quitting is to be able to exactly follow induction then i have a couple of suggestions. Take the first week "off" socially. Do a little hybernating by yourself while you get through the first week. After the first week your cravings and hunger patterns will be alot different and you'll get alot more built in natural resistance to urges for both food and beer. Be honest with your close friends and those that will support you - but you have absolutely no obligation to explain yourself to strangers and acquaintences. Alot of us find that an excuse like "nope can't drink, I'm on medication" works wonders.
