Coconut Oil
Where do you buy it? I've seen that some people have luck at WallyWorld, but I was just there and. . . nothing. Unless I was looking in the wrong place.
Suggestions? |

I have seen it at my local health food store and WalMart (it's in the vitamin section). I just found it at Kroger too this week. Very excited to see it there!! However, I buy it online.

I just bought it today at Walmart. It was in the diet/vitamin "section" but not on the same long row of shelving i looked right behind me and it was on an endcap of another aisle, so be sure to check the endcaps.

Be sure to check and make sure it is an unrefined CO.
Refined CO can be hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated which makes them no better than a corn or soy oil. The cheaper COs are usually in that manner. There are refined CO that are fine, but they will SAY non hydrogenated and trans fat free and are usualy expeller pressed and naturally refined using steam and no chemicals. Your best bet is a virgin or extra virgin oil.. THAT is what will give you the benefits. Anything other than that should only be used for cooking in place of lard or butter. (unless they are hydrogenated then you do not want to use them at all....) A good CO will still taste and smell like coconuts ![]()

Yeah, I found the little jar at wally world, but it was 10 bucks!
I got it anyway, and I keep it in my bathroom... That's the one I stick my hands in to use on my body... I got a BIG gallon size bucket of it from Netrition... I think with shipping and everything, it was around 50 bucks... 50 is a lot, but I have enough to last me quite a while... ![]() |
