I battled a demon...........

called HONEY tonight!!! AND WON!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo proud of myself! I was making dinner for my sugar glider tonight, and one of the ingredients is honey. Well, I got it all over my fingers, and as an automatic response, my fingers went directly toward my mouth. At the very last second, I came to, and thought, "BRANDY, what the H@LL are you doing!!!!" I had to run over to the sink and wash my hands, because the "urge" was still lingering over me. It was a close call, but the sugar demon failed!!!! Take that! You monster! I am stronger than you!!!!

ANd now I sit here reflecting on it, and I find it so crazy that the urge was so stronge, even after I realized what I was doing. It's almost a little scary realizing just how addicted I was to the stuff!

I think it's the urge to lick your fingers no matter WHAT is on them - I mean, when I feed the CAT, if I get any of her wet food on my fingers my unthought-about response is to stick 'em in my mouth! Thankfully I've NEVER done that with cat food but I understand what you went through!
