OMG - They raved about it...

So, today we had a going away party for one of my co-workers. We always do a potluck buffet when this happens. I decided to make 2 of Linda Sue's White Castle Hamburger Pies. I've already had to print off 4 copies of the recipe because people loved it so much. And I didn't even tell anybody that it was low carb until after I printed it off.

Linda Sue

Oh, and just for the record, when I made them, I cut each one into 8 slices, took out 1 slice from each for myself (just so it didn't look like there was a huge piece missing out of just one ), and stayed away from the rest of the food. Yay!!!

I havent tried that one yet, Kim, but it sounds so good! I'm a huge fan of LS's pies. They are so yummy. We love the Sloppy Joe Pie and Coney Island Chili Dog Pie. They are so low carb, but taste so indulgent!

I'll have to try the White Castle one this weekend

P.S. Where in NH are you? I'm from the Lakes Region

That is great! Did you include the pickle and mustard topping? To me, that makes the dish! I love it!

Hi Rita ~

I'm in Winchester. We have a time share up at the Village at Winnipesaukee at Weirs Beach. We're there usually at the end of the Fourth of July Week.
Where abouts are you?

Thanks for that link Julie I just love Linda Sues recipes!

Kim, we are across the lake from the Weirs in Wolfeboro. It's raining today, but the Fall has been so nice recently, huh? Let's keep in touch... You're doing great on LC! Thanks for the inspiration.

It's just mustard and some dill pickle relish - just makes this pie! So wonderful!

I made this for the first time tonight. I didn't have enough beef so I did it 1/3 beef, 1/3 ground pork and 1/3 ground turkey. I also added some sauteed onions. It was absolutely to die for!! I've got a new favorite dinner

After reading this yesterday, I had to try it and made both the White Castle Pie and the Italian Quiche last night. They were both wonderful!!! My daughter who can be quite the critic even liked them. The quiche was more moist but both were great and I'll be making them again. My DH was out of town but comes home tonight and he's in for a treat

Thanks for sharing about this,

Sharon

"Serving Suggestion:
For a true White Castle experience, top each serving with dill pickles and mustard. Or, make a sauce of dill pickle relish and mustard."
